I reckon he'd rather play for us, with our Argie contingent and Poch. If he's asking about which city is nicer to live in, let's just not show him any area within a mile radius of the ground

I'd say show him Tottenham Court Road instead but.. I don't think that improves things

I went looking for the reports of him wanting champions league football but couldn't find any tbh.

I'm sure I've got an old box set of Shameless I could lend him. That should do it.

absolutely no idea how reliable. He seems very reluctant though

I'm still holding onto the Argentina connection, Inter are moving Naingolan onto Fiorentina, I'm watching their every move in the hope they raise the funds.

Think it is a loan deal (for Naingolan) - maybe free up wages though.

No doubt Dybala would rather stay at Juve or go to Madrid/Barca but we've seen these reports before only for the player to make the move to United/Chelsea/Arsenal etc.

If we are seriously interested and Poch would be delighted with the signing then we have to pull out all the stops.

I know we get told it's unrealistic all the time but an outlay of 140m on both Dybala and GLC would put us right in the mix and the financial burden would be earned back through many revenues because so think that would see trophies at the club.

We'd then likely not need to spend much in the next 2-3 years

No, that's exactly what we shouldn't do.

The precise reason we are where we are now is because of a careful business model that explicitly doesn't involve splashing unnecessary, over the top cash on a single player. Doing that would use up a disproportionate amount of the available transfer budget and the destabilisation of the wage structure would have a destructive knock-on effect.

Which i'm sure everyone here & Poch would be fine with, there are other areas of the squad that need reinforcing first but we shouldn't miss such a glaring opportunity.

Signing the lad would certainly move us up from scraping top 4 last year (other factors aside of course) to solidly qualifying - the thought of missing out the extra revenue from CL should make DL wet the bed at night.
