The transfer window disappointment is almost worth it just for the entertainment you lot provide. It’s like a lovechild of Marquis de Sade and Steven Berkoff in here.

Really don't see why there is a meltdown. Sess seems to be wrapped up. We're edging closer on pulling the trigger on GLC or BF(or possibly both) and Coutinho is a real option.

Yeah the Eriksen situation is fucked up but if he doesn't want to be here any longer then fuck him. Let Man U have him and lets reinvest ASAP.

Because we’ve signed one player in three transfer windows, there are glaring holes in our squad, there are 49 hours left of the transfer window, and we’ve been here what feels like many times before.

That’s why.

A lot of what Trix say's is correct, CE thought he was going to Madrid but he was naive, Madrid never really wanted him but keep players warm, it's a tactic they used for years. Am not desperate but very disapointed and concerned at this stage, I could say a lot more but we really have some issues at present

This bit. While it can cover a multitude of scenarios, it is worrying

Because we are veterans of these transfer windows and we know how this ends. Sess announced on Thurs to placate us.

While I appreciate being told we have issues, I worry than any such statement without even a small bit of context Might set SC ablaze with guessing games and borderline suicidal grousing. Which I’d guess then ratchets up A&C’s poor old blood pressure to an unhealthy extent. So, please don’t take this as a criticism, but rather a suggestion that if it’s at all possible to provide even a teeny tiny hint of context it might at the very least reduce mass participation in a game of Cards Against Calamity. ??♥️

We've all been there, done that and I'm afraid we all know how it is going to end.

and I'm still going to refresh the thread every 10 minutes waiting for God know what. Fucking fuck.

I think the problem is history suggests there’s a good chance we’ll fail to adequately replace Eriksen and lose one of our very best players to a rival. I’m trying to reserve judgement until the window is closed but I think peoples frustrations go back many windows now.

I keep trying to get people to save their meltdown until they know what they are melting about but no, melts are gonna melt. It's genuinely embarrassing seeing what I assume are grown men, literally having nervous breakdowns over a poxy transfer when at any time, we could still turn it around. Yes, I know we've been here before and I get that it's the likely scenario but you don't get on a boat and start booing because the fucking Titanic sank do you.

I really, really REALLY don't get how people don't mind outing themselves as being emotionally stunted crybabies over this. Without even batting an eye, 'look at me expressing my lack of length 'down there'

Entertaining? Slightly but it wears off. Wait, just wait FFS.

I don't think we have ever been here before though. The only glaring hole is an Eriksen replacement which we seemed to be working on.

The only thing I care about now is that Poch is satisfied at the end of the window that he has been backed. If that means shifting gears and signing a RB and second- or third-choice playmaker, fine. If it means Coutinho on a loan, fine. It doesn't matter how we get there but we've got to keep Poch on side and building toward the future. I'm confident that if he's happy we'll be in good shape for top four, which is what we ought to be aiming for in year one of his "second chapter" anyway IMO.
