All commercial legal problems can be solved with money.

The issue seems to be that the company owns his image rights in Italy (where they exist), and wants a payoff because image rights don't exist in the same way in England and Wales. The legal side can be complex but the solution is often, in these situations, money.

Money is the solution to most things

How can image rights be enforced in this country if they don't exist legally in the UK ?

Slightly different situation but I remember everyone saying the timing wouldn’t work with Aurier regarding legal issues in France so we’ve shown in the past the ability to work out these difficult scenarios.

When the Dybala and Lo Celso situation started to blow up big time today SSN started the top of their programme with ten minutes on how Man Utd were not going to buy Eriksen.
To be honest I suspect this will depend on Levy's legal advice, if they advise we would be in bad position he'll drop it but if they say we'd have a strong case he'll go for it and if he does the image rights company ought to be very afraid.

I doubt we'd even try to take it to court or anything like that (if that's what you're implying), it just seems a bit of a mess

Delaney says the fee for the image rights is substantially below 40m. Say its around 20m, that takes the fee to about 80m. I can't see us having a problem with that, so I think it's more a legal problem than a financial problem.

The sooner people realise these Twitter accounts are bullshit the better, they are mostly based on absolute bullshit feeding on fan thirst for hearing what they want to hear. Could it be right, of course but most of the time it’s fabricated horseshit. I literally could start a feed and post this kind of stuff and people will like it and retweet it.

I can if you throw in Lo Celso and Sessegnon. Not moaning just saying

This all makes sense now. Why on earth would Juventus accept a bid of £64.5 million for Dybala...

It's because there's another £40 million that needs clearing.

40 Million was the figure i heard too - sure i saw a report that said it was a lot less than that figure , cant remember if it was ITK on here tho so take with a pinch of salt. Either way, the club had to be aware of it and surely have a cunning plan to try and resolve it

To be fair, most sources are saying the actual figure in terms of payment to the image rights company is more like 10/12m.

Would imagine its more about the legal complications rather than the money at this point.

his instagram story has him hugging chiellini and other team mates, #bodylanguage but looks a bit like goodbyes
And being given the arm band over Chiellini. He's been with Juve a while so of course he would be emotional if he left. Hopefully it's good news. Come on Levy, close this deal!

If that’s true (load of salt) it doesn’t seem like an unrealistic amount for us to hit; question then becomes how much posturing are we going to do in the meantime to convince Juve/PD/agent/Image Star that we can’t pay that, in hopes of negotiating our total costs down, and will that bite us in the ass?

It's part of the game to be fair. I don't mind it and like the excitement.

Fucking hell, I work for a huge law firm with a top sports practice. I wonder where it would rank on a 1-10 scale of unprofessionalism if I go to their floor tomorrow and refuse to leave until they say they'll give Levy a call.

Edit: Thanks @RJR1949 I'll print that out and take it with me

Do it, Do it, Do it, Do it, Do it, Do it.....
