Were they really that impressive? They only had 5 shots on target, of which they scored 4. It wasn't really a 4-0 game, let's be honest. If anything Chelsea should be gutted they didn't go in to the break ahead, as they probably deserved it. And they weren't even that good.

All I'm saying is neither team did anything today to suggest we should be in any way worried about them.

Chelsea should have had a couple in the first half!
Their (Chelsea) defence needs sorting as a matter of urgency, Zouma is a clown!

I thought that was a decent to watch as a neutral but pretty poor quality match. Very open and quite often a frantic affair. Chelsea for much of the game looked the tidier outfit, but still remains the imbalance between possession and attacking threat. And defensively just weren't adjusting and got caught for each goal, those two centre backs as well are just not convincing particularly when you're wide open as a team and needing a bit of nous when you're going to be defending one v one and under a lot of pressure.

United like last season can certainly counter attack at 100mph, but beyond that there isn't much to their football and they don't string passages of play together overly well. When teams wise up and seal off the counter opportunities or sit off them they will have to play much more football.

I'm not sure that was a 4-0 game, but when you don't even attempt to readjust and address certain issues, in fact just got worse as the game went on, you cant complain about getting punished.
Good result overall. Chelsea get a confidence sapping drubbing, Utd get another false dawn.

People keep saying Frank has a free hit but if they are absolutely rotten then they will surely want someone else in for when they get to spend money again?

Allegri would be available?
But why would he after Sarri?

Pretty obvious already that Chelsea are going to spend about £300m next summer to get back to the top after selling Morata and hazard. We really need to get our deals done early next summer or the fees are going to be astronomical, moreso than they are now

I find it quite difficult to dislike Lampard.

Comes over as quite normal considering his working environment!
Knowing Chelsea the will sack him and bring Mourinho back in, in a couple of months, was always a poisoned chalice.

I'm actually slightly ashamed to admit it, but I think, subconsciously, a lot of it for me is because of how he speaks - he's really quite well-spoken and communicates very well. Similar to our own JJ.
