State of this tweet...embarassing club

It's just a fan page, nothing official but that aside, the way they behaved in the Kane deal was enough for me to agree that they are an embarrassing club. 😁

I'm sure we've probably got fan pages like that on that shithole of a social media site too.

Good luck to him and happy for him to have gotten a move to big club and hope he does well there. Moving him on was well overdue imo but just glad it has finally happened now.

Wow. To think at one time we could have got £150m for Dier and Alli and yet both walk out for £0 initially. Funny old game

Loved the part he played in poch’s tactics where he allowed us to to switch between 4 at the back to 3 seamlessly. I know many preferred us with wanyama in the the team but I preferred that iteration(?). Always seemed like a top man, time for him to move on though

It's a pretty smart deal and fair for all parties. We have been playing FBs ahead of Dier and have just brought in another CB in Dragusin. Fair to say that Eric would never have played again for Spurs in all but the most extreme of circumstances. So there is a strong case that just getting him off the wage bill is advantage enough for us, while Bayern aren't going to cough up a transfer fee to help us do that for a player who may not even play that much for them. Pay as you go, and Eric gets an (outside) chance to make the Euros squad, and can still move back to Portugal at the end of the season if that's what he and Bayern want.

If you had told me on Jan 1st that we would bring in a great CB prospect who turned down Bayern Munich and double the money to join us, while they ended up taking Dier off our hands I would have asked what the hell you were smoking...

One hip injury fucked his agility forever, it's why I never blame footballers for taking money asap, wish him all the best. Will forever remember his debut goal.

His debut goal, his versatility, assist for Dele at the bridge, shushing Arsenal fans, climbing the stadium to confront some bellends, tackle on Ramos, winning penalty against Colombia, murdering Chelsea players at the bridge, bromamce with Dele. So many things to love about Eric, honestly thought he was elite at one point or at least on his way to being it. Loved him for a long time but it’s definitely time for him to go. Shame that half volley against Chelsea was offside this season because that would have been another to add to the list

He was massively spurs. Said he hated when people say bad things about us and wants his ashes spread at the stadium.

He was a good lad, he was Spurs through and through.

A shame he won't get a proper goodbye, but good luck to him. A great servant, and by all accounts a good guy too.

Fond memories will stay with me of him, absolutely clattering some Chelsea players at the Bridge right at the top alongside his debut goal.
