One of the differences you'll notice with City, compared to a lot of other teams, is that despite us not attacking and letting them come at us, the lack of goals isn't frustrating them. They're not playing rash passes for us to intercept, they're not getting heavy, they've changed nothing about what they're doing, but neither have we.

Second half I suspect they're hoping we'll push higher and maybe the tables will be reversed, with them just soaking it up and it ends up a stale draw but it feels more like a game of chess right now, between two rather cool chess players, each trying to out cool the other.

I'm sure Werner is pretty fast, but I always think him being "rapid" is an exaggeration. Even at 31 I'd still back Sonny to out sprint him.
Werner is still super fast and I'd say faster than Son.

Man City played very well that half. Hopefully they drop off and we can grow into the game a bit second half as we aren't really in it yet.

They will run out of steam and have to go to their bench......fuck 😭

Poor half, defended well but all over the place up top, it's like they've never played together before. I'd bring Maddison on for Johnson and get Kulu out wide.
we defended well amongst the last line but very sloppy on all other phases.

Agree with Wright there goals like that should stand really, although of course happy it was but don’t enjoy the game how it is these days so forensic.

Is it just my eyes or is the pitch cutting up quite a bit? Seen players on both sides slip in the first half. Don't usually have those problems on our pitch do we?
Maybe a bit more than usual but I feel it's not that uncommon at our ground.

He’s been very good. Kept it tidy and covered the defence well. He does have a tendency to stay deep, which is why he doesn’t have a future in Ange’s system but it’s probably more useful in a game like this

Only small criticism is wish he would pass the ball a fraction quicker

Our attacking play has been horseshit; so disappointing. Werner excused because no one passes to him, and Richy gets credit for his pressing and tracking back.

PEH continues to impress in a role that clearly doesn't play to his strengths. Real credit to him.

I've said it before and everyone laughs at me but I'd love to see Edwards in this side.
Know exactly where you are coming from.

I'll be glad with Maddison getting up to speed to allow Johnson to be given a bench/super sub role which might just work better for all concerned.

I'm glad Bobb's goal was ruled out. Was terrible what he did to that poor Laura Palmer.
