I meant it more as the situation Spurs are in now instead of what happened last year. We were playing 18th and struggled to control play for most of the 2nd half.
Arsenal literally lost to 19th place Everton at the same time of year last year.

Arsenal lost to Fulham at home just over 1 month ago. Things can change quickly in this league for better or worse.

FWIW, I don't think we are serious title contenders but I didn't think we were before the Everton game.

Cringey as fuck

They are always cringey, it's their "brand".

As much as I hate them, I'm not going to throw shade at any team celebrating a win over their title rivals, any team would.

The online celebration policing is crazy.

Edit: not aimed at you btw.

If we'd had 10 points deducted we'd be closer to relegation than top of the table down in 9th. The fact that Everton are 18th means nothing, in fact it makes them a far harder proposition.

The main thing we need to do is get back to a level of stable performance that then breeds stable form. We're a bit up and down at the moment and sometimes we win with the odd goal in 5, others we don't get that win over the line. Mostly high scoring entertaining affairs, but not as dominant as we'd like and as we've shown earlier this season.

We have three home games in a row coming up, and a weekend off. Not easy, but not top of the table clashes either (Brighton, Wolves, Palace). That is quite an opportunity to stay right up in touch with the leaders if we can get wins. But we are giving away too many chances and goals and not converting ourselves. This little run of game might be a good way to play back into form and not have such a chaotic version of ourselves.

Trouble is, Brighton hammered us at their place & Wolves beat us up (albeit with 2 very late goals) at their place, in what was probably our worst performance of the season.

Wolves we had Dier and Davies at CB, Emerson at LB, we only conceded late after we made changes, we went from Sarr, Bissouma and Pierre covering that frail backline to a recovering Bentancur, GLC and Pierre, Gil came on for Johnson.
It looked a mess and played a mess.

I'd view those recent past experiences as an opportunity to not underestimate them rather than trouble. They are decent sides no doubt, and we lost 6 valuable points against them for various reasons. Hopefully we won't repeat those performances. We need to impose ourselves on them. We were being routed by Brighton as well and then sorted ourselves out near the end. We can't be so open and inviting of chances against ourselves. We have to convert our pressure into more comfortable leads.

5 points would have been doable but we aren’t good enough. We are conceding goals galore and we don’t look great
Agreed. We haven't looked good for sometime so the balance of this season is about ending strong and finishing as high as we can, but it won't be higher than 4th imo. 4th would be fantastic and seems achievable.

Considering all the squad disruptions we've faced that will be eased going forward, think we'll finish very strongly. Wouldn't surprise if we got 3rd at Arsenal's expense. I think City and Liverpool, despite yesterday's result, will take the top slots.

Arteta will never learn.
A team reflects their manager. Arteta running about like a 12 yr old on the touch line. Odegaard playing at being a photographer. Say no more.
I have no time for those cheating Arabs at City but at times I am pleased they are here. Especially when stopping Arteta getting his hands on that trophy,

Pep's gone full Ossie Ardiles, that is a VERY attacking line-up!
