Bentancur, Lo Celso and Maddison against Brentford!

Now thats a midfield.
It's the sort of game where that midfield combo has the potential to work well. I don't expect all three to start though (difficult to know how match-fit two of them will be).

Miguel Delaney reporting Barça have had a loan bid rejected for Lo Celso. They really are properly broke

They want him so bad every window, yet come in with a loan bid every time LOL. I know they're broke, but these clubs always find money for players they really want.

He’s worth keeping, he has quality.
Yep, he has made some telling contributions while the squad was stretched. The injuries are frustrating buts he’s done exactly what you want from your squad players, couple of goals, a few assists and played well when called on.

What’s funny is that they are the fourth biggest revenue generating club and increased their revenue by £150m last season according to Deloitte’s figures that they’ve just released.
What did they sell last year though, wasn’t it part of the stadium and another chunk of their tv rights?
They are seriously heading back to pre El Tel years the way they are going, almost a mirror image of Man U prior to Fergie

Gio is back in training, possibly in the same group with "Emay" (Royal). He’s not in the vid (that I can see) but you can clearly here the coach shouting “Gio bit more Gio” at 1.58

Good to have him back.

Are we actually looking at a full squad here? I mean obviously apart from Solomon who doesn't exist.
Almost yes however we still have about 4 first teamers not really match fit and still needing a few more games to get there. So it's good news but still not what we want just yet.

I’d be very surprised if Son and Biss make the squad tbh. Biss supposedly had/has Malaria so that could mean he needs a week if not longer to fully recover and Son maybe makes the bench but it’s not a given. Wouldn’t be that surprised if Gio also is left out for another week to get fully fit even if he is in team training. Its certainly coming tho, bar Solomon and Sess.

How do you know Gio wasn't on tea making duty and they asked for a bit more milk?

Could be gone to Turkey by this Friday?
Don't know how reliable the source or just bs.

Tottenham midfielder ‘preparing to say goodbye’ as link-up with two former teammates edges closer

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso, Tottenham, January 2022

Tottenham duo Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
Tottenham could be on the brink of losing a midfielder as reports suggest Giovani Lo Celso is close to joining two former teammates in Turkey.
The Turkish transfer window does not shut until Friday, leaving plenty of Premier League clubs fretting over potentially losing first-team stars without the opportunity to replace them.
And it appears that Lo Celso could well be on his way to join Davinson Sanchez and Tanguy Ndombele at Galatasaray.
