I’m shocked they thought the ref was on our side and that we were cheating. They were time-wasting from the 30th minute and have the gall to complain about an extra added minute.
If you’re shocked by that you don’t spend much time in this thread….

Paul Scholes just said, after Villa had 10 shots on net to his Man Utd's 5, that he "expects United will finish above Spurs and Villa". Wanker.

To be fair, Manchester United are now only a paltry six points behind us.

Whereas, just five games ago, they were [checks notes] um, err, actually, they were only five points behind us then.

Truly, this Manchester United momentum is unstoppable.

From Villa. This is what makes me laugh sometimes when we get ridiculed by fans of certain teams.

It’s classic post-Fergie punditry from the ex-Utd players. They jump on any cause for optimism far too quickly and have ended up looking daft year after year. This time last season Gary Neville was tipping Utd to finish above Arsenal even though that never looked likely. When it comes to Utd and Liverpool, the ex-players believe what they want to like the most blinkered fans. In Utd’s case, the ex-players are worse than most of their fans who are starting to become jaded by the post-SAF false dawns.

That's without even getting to Rio Ferdinand yet. He's probably saying they're now in the title race.

In just the same way that the press bigged-up SAF's alcohol-fuelled comments at the weekend that Spurs stood "no chance" of ever winning the Premier League. (A natural follow-up question would have been to ask him whether the same applied to United....)

Once with Redknapp (should have been twice when we finished 4th but Chelsea won CL), Four times under Poch and once under Conte

Should have been first time under Martin Jol but for Lasgnegate and bastard Richard Scudamore making up rules whilst wearing an arsenal T shirt at Highbury, that was Spursy.

I think that was Hank's point. He would take our "Spursy" mentality as we have been far better than them for a number of a years.

Imagine being Brighton and referring to us as a small team!?
their stadium holds what 3000 people?🤣
I used to live in Brighton and grew up round there, its soooo quiet in the stadium. Poor stadium design and too many prawn sandwiches. Can remember seeing Potter in his early days when they started playing good football and many were booing and calling for Houghton and his prehistoric long ball no goals football to return.

We also missed out on 3rd on the last day due to a very questionable performance from West Brom's 3rd choice goalkeeper in his last ever game in England (see 1st and 3rd goals)

Not forgetting lasagnagate in 2006. Playing West Ham and 1 point ahead of Arsenal. A win would have got us CL irrespective of Arsenal's result.

David Dein.
