Let's be real, Arsenal are a really good side as much as we all hate to admit it.

They are definitely a good side. But so are we, and will get much better

In fact when u consider how long Arteta has had, and its only Ange's first full season (notwithstanding the remarkable luck he's had with injuries)

Its not like we're 20 points behind them.

I reckon we'd only be a few behind had that Chelsea game gone differently.

That is the thing though, under pressure. It is a huge difference to how they press and us. Everyone is pressing together, we press one and one, then Newcastle would have had the time to play it out.

To be fair, Arsenal makes Newcastle look bad today as they all press proactivly and not reactive like we did with wolves
We beat newcastle by the same result and they had a better team against us - joelinton and dubravka playing.

Arsenal and Liverpool have a higher goal difference than United have goals scored (even after United scored 12 in the last 5 games lol).

Can’t see Eddie Howe surviving to next season. 7 points off Utd in 6th (which they were at the start of play tbf) and I can’t see the Saudi owners accepting anything less than Europa League football next season.

Ifs, buts and maybes mate.

However I agree that they're so much further along in their development so it's to be expected.

It does get me excited to see where we will be in a few years' time under Ange.

Really? City only just scraped a draw at home to Chelsea last weekend and barely beat Brentford. They need to seriously pick it up.
They do but last season was similar.

I remember thinking they may struggle to win the title and CL but by late March they just hit a new gear.

Remember they were at least 8 points behind Arsenal and the view was Arsenal were playing better.

Just hoping we can sort ourselves out before the NLD.

It would be incredible for us to beat them and put them out of the race

We can definitely beat them if we can get ourselves together and get some of that early season form back.

Oh, and fuck the coefficient nonsense too.
5 spots is too much for one league and I don't want to be in the CL because our rivals have done well in it.
It tastes so much sweeter when we've earned the place ourselves and if we don't get it this season, then so be it.

I started this season hoping for a top 6 finish and that hasn't changed, whether it comes with some of the weird criticism that Ange had recently come under, or Spurs fans hoping that Arsenal progress in the CL so that we may squeeze our way in as the fifth bloody team.

I don't want to see arsenal succeed in anything, even if we get the benefit of feeding off their scraps!

Keep fighting the good fight mate!
What good fight is that? Supporting our manager and team during their first season together? Understanding that this is not a video game and things will be up and down whilst they find a consistent level without a state or nation funding it?

Yeah I will keep fighting that good fight so long as I see progress and improvement on the pitch even in defeats. Which up to this point I am.

Calm down sunshine! It was a genuine comment as I agree with you. I think people got overexcited early on and are now going too far in the other direction.
