Villa are playing like Stoke. Pack the defence and hoof it long and repeat. Frustrating.
I guess we'll see. Radu was out warming up at half time so it seemed at the time like they knew something was up and they were seeing how Micky would go in the second half.He went down in the second half, he was clearly holding his left hamstring and got subbed. He walked off a bit gingerly too.
When he went down his hand went to his hamstring, so my first thought was hamstring like the pundits as that is normally what players do.The pundits think (probably just guessing) it was a hamstring for Micky but there's no way they'd let him back out after half time if it was. You can't "run off" a hamstring issue.
The cherry on top is the McGinn red. Not just the ban, but it was so clear and obvious, Villa can’t blame the ref or VAR etc. I can’t stop smiling
I have to say, I’m delighted for Johnson.
I’ve been one of his biggest critics but he was very good today and turned the last game too.
I was wrong to judge him so fast. I hope he keeps it up, because he looked like a different player today and was a proper wide threat.
Well done to him, and to everyone. Huge win and looked like the confidence was back. Let’s push on now
COYS
Yeah but he does vacate the middle of the pitch a lot. I might be talking shit but we took the ball of them loads in the middle of the park early 2nd half and I wondered whether he was taking up positions too wide or which made it tougher for them to play out. I know they Tielamans and DL in there still tho@Dougal
How's mother's day going in your household now......
He will be a big miss for them, does a lot of work in their midfield.
