Thought he was put into a couple of tricky situations when he came on cause whoever passed to him past on to his left side - obviously cause they expect it to be VdV.

It led to one loss of possession in a potentially dangerous area.

However, he brushed it off, adapted and became calmer on the ball.

I also like the way he was reacting to coming on as it shows he is someone who is prepared for anything. You often see players move quite slowly whereas Dragusin couldnt get on any sooner.

He was warming up specifically for VDV at half time.

Il watch MOTD highlights to see who it was against but he showed a real turn of pace on the left hand side of our box, might have been against diaby or bailey but he won the race quite comfortably. Obviously he's no VDV in a foot race but looks like he is fast enough which is great and will mean we can keep playing the way we want to

Obviously not nice to be without VDV but I will admit that a part of me is excited to finally see Radu given a chance.

Radu Dragusin weighs his own food, measures his own sleep, and likes to go to the gym before and after training if he can. When Dragusin, who has one year left on a degree course in Romania, is not playing, he likes to play chess.

Dragusin pores over footage of his own game, analysing his mistakes and finding areas to improve.

Dragusin’s aim in the January window was always to come to #Tottenham and test himself in the Premier League. It was not about money; if he had joined Bayern and played, he could have earned almost double what he will earn at Spurs. It was about being wanted, about the fact Spurs had moved for him much earlier than Bayern, and about the two phone calls with Ange Postecoglou to spell out where he fitted in

Just out of interest, what do we think happens long term if he comes in for a run of games and plays an absolute blinder? Do we try to fit all three of Romero, VDV and Radu in somehow? If not, who does he displace? CB rotation?

Whatever happens it's a nice luxury to have for a change.

Can't see Dragusin, or any player, displacing VDV. It doesn't matter how well he plays, unless there's a massive dropoff in form VDV will come back into the team. So long term, I'm guessing Dragusin doesn't get a look in and leaves. Sorry! I like him, he looks an extremely good signing, but he's not VDV.

We'll hopefully be playing about 50% more games next season, and that's before the usual injuries and suspensions etc. He and the other CBs, whoever they may be, will get plenty of playing time.

What is your timeframe for him leaving?

In fairness to my own point, Ange made three changes between Palace and Villa - maybe he can keep everyone happy like Pep and Klopp

Lol.

Have you missed that VDV got a serious injury this season and is injured again?

That Romero have missed at least 10 games in both his full seasons with us so far?

Sanchez getting a serious injury in his first season with us missing 10+ games?

Toby missing 30+ games over two seasons and never returned the same player?

Vertonghen missing 15 games over our two title challenging seasons?

Ledley King?

No, I didn't miss that. It's just irrelevant to this situation.

Dragusin is clearly very, very ambitious and isn't going to want to play second fiddle filling in for a few games a season.

Is that something you missed?

Lol.

Mate, he's only been here a couple of months and with our style and euro footie next season, there will be plenty of game time to share between 3 CB's.
There's no chance he's leaving anytime soon.

Might be greedy but would love to see another CB or one of the kids integrated

His ambition appears to be about becoming a really good Tottenham player from everything I’ve read.
