It's very frustrating, but VAR followed the letter of the law there. The ref, on the other hand, absolutely did not when he decided not to give Zaniolo a second yellow for blatantly delaying a free kick, having just booked a WH for the same thing.

Haven’t seen it but apparently an obvious handball - not sure why it took 5 mins to decide though??

Because they’re cowards, who shy away from difficult decisions even where the law is clear and unambiguous

Could you imagine VAR when John Terry was playing. Who knows what would have happened but honestly, it sometimes surprised me he didn't walk out onto the pitch wearing goalie gloves.

Soucek is a lucky boy. It wasn’t just a handball, it was INTENTIONAL. He clearly pushes his elbow forward to nudge the ball over the line.

Didn't expect Villa to drop points so that has to be a bonus. Despite how shite we were yesterday they would have probably won that if they had beaten us last week with the confidence boost they would have got. As it is, if we win our game in hand we can overtake them on GD.

Do the refs have training sessions? I mean like doing simulated stuff on a pitch. I feel the standard of referring is so bad in the PL. Reading a rule boom is not enough IMO

Yep and I want to see a big response against Luton and then take that forward
