  • Seems Werner has found his place just like Havertz.
  • How are we so far behind this crap Spurs team...
  • It's by being even worse, happy to clear that up
  • Forest have better attackers than Spurs
  • Gut punch by Maddison there?
No action. I guess you can do that now.
  • Should have probably been a red for Maddison anyway. Clearly punches him despite how soft it was.
  • Well we all know what would happen if a United player had punched someone
  • Ange’s teams ALWAYS look for the drilled cutback across goal.
It’s brilliant to watch and is always efficient. Zero selfishness.
  • Great strike by van de Ven.
    2-1
  • Porro makes it 3-1.
  • Second half Spurs at it again
  • This Spurs v Forest ref is having a fecking mare and then some.

Yes, Utd would have been given a penalty.

Including when our own fans do it, I'd like to point out. We have plenty of nutters too.
It's useful to read this thread to try and keep your own comments in check.

There are lots who peruse this thread and laugh at opposition fans before going to the next thread and whinging that every ref since the dawn of time has got it in for Spurs.

As you say, every club has them.

Yeah but the difference is there is corruption against the mighty Spurs spanning back a century

I don’t believe refs hate one team etc but what I do believe is inconsistent reffing, poor ref decisions and massive varying interpretations of similar incidents coupled with zero transparency allows gives people excuses to go down this route.
When you see a Jota high foot split skips head open go unpunished but another high boot get a red, as a good example - people then say cheating ref - at anfield etc

for me it just weak poor inconsistent reffing

I think the difference between our fan base and Arsenal's is that we have enough level headed fans to call out stupid comments and those going OTT.

Arsenal fans seem to thrive off each other when one stupid comment is made.

There's a lot of idiots who follow football simple as that. Every club has fans like it. What I do find funny is when one fan of another club latches onto a rival fans comment and acts like they're the spokesperson for the club. Spurs fans think.... like you couldn't identify any other club in the world and pick a stupid set of fans to make out that's their whole fan base. People just have to make up reasons to hate other clubs. It's like the whole ref giving decisions one way when you can say that for every team if you see things one way all the time. That's all it is, just a set of fans of other clubs who see every thing only in one way. Spurs are lucky (ignoring your own luck), Spurs player should have been sent off (ignoring any case your player could see red themselves), media love Spurs and want them to finish 4th (ignoring all the compliments they've had themselves). Etc etc.

Eh no we have our fair share of morons. Every club is the same and to try and suggest we are different is daft.

Totally agree. Although some clubs seem to be magnets to certain fans. I remember when Mourinho first arrived at Chelsea, they started attracting a type of fan who hadn’t necessarily followed a club before but was attracted to all the success and bravado that came with Mourinho’s first spell at Chelsea.

Nothing wrong with that, but when you get a significant following of fans based on Mourinho’s antics and the club being very successful and rich, that gives a certain slant to the fanbase.

For the most part yes, but there are some (specifically Liverpool) who have a tendency to become more cult-like than the average fanbases.

Liverpool fans are particularly insular. Newcastle fans can be like that because they’re a one club city but Liverpool fans are like that even when they come from Milton Keynes.

Sadly though, to this day, the most insufferably stupid football fan I’ve ever really known was a fellow Spurs fan. Although that would often be rivalled by the sheer insanity that the few Leicester fans I’ve met have spouted any time Harry Kane was a topic of conversation!

LTLF (Forest Forum)
  • I haven’t felt this nervous since my birthday when I was waiting for my wife’s decision on the back door ‘treat’
  • I hope she used lube and went easy on you mate.
  • Loving this.
The best team playing with the players we have available
  • f*** off Madison you whingeing little twat
  • Maddison already instructing the referee on what to do and take note of.....
  • Another face that needs a good slap.
  • Og Murillo
  • OH shite.
    Poor bogger.
  • Well thats that. Here comes a fisting.

  • Makes you laugh and is typical of top 6 bias. Alan smith says Elanga off balance when tripped but pretty much applauding son’s cheating.
  • Woooooooooooooooooooooddddddddddddddyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • GET IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Rocka get your pecker out!
    Rocka get your pecker out!
  • jumpiung around like a loon.
Had dogs abuse from my spurs loving mate since they scored
    WOOOODSSSS
  • I told you to farking wait!!!
    Anyway GET FCKING IN!

  • That's what they do. Spurs have been doing it all season. Just need to be ruthless when we get in every time.
  • Lol, they’ve literally just blamed Yates’ for getting punched.
  • Ooh. Bentancur can be quite silky.
  • Ah they're showing it.
It's Yates's fault and the bastard asked for the ref to take a look.
Not a word about Madison punching him
If you had any doubt about the big 6 bias there it is right in front of you
  • All sorted. Should have been a sending off for us
  • Imagine being able to bring Hoijberg and Bentacur off the bench.
  • Maddison hardly touched him if we are being rational and objective. If a Forest player got sent off for that id be furious
  • oh dear
  • Buggers.
  • dont drop - no reason that we cant score
  • That was a cracking goal, to be fair
  • deflating
  • We’ll score again lads, we’re plucky fucckers.
  • Didn't even last ten minutes.
    Fu*king annoying.
  • We don't deserve to be losing
  • Ah, get f**ked…
  • Ridiculous booking. Got the ball, unlike udogie who didn’t get booked. f*** off hooper you cheating, corrupt top six ****.
  • f*** it. We don’t deserve this.
  • f*** me, when your defenders are scoring worldies you know it’s not your day
  • 3 on their f***ing own. Wake the f*** up
  • 3 Spurs players waiting by themselves at the back post to smash it in.
  • Tackling and getting the ball = yellow card
    Punching = nothing.
    Got it.
  • When someone said there was more goals in this, this wasn't really what I was hoping for.
  • Carving us open.
  • Could have been 2-1 up, now 3-1 down.
Oh well. Find it difficult to be too harsh on Chris Wood mind. It happens.
  • If we score it will shut these plastic pricks up and make them nervous
  • Fine margins, crap refs
  • Hojberg and Bentancur are running the show since they came on.
  • Nothing club Spurs, playing for forth year in year out and ultimately doing f uck all
  • After that initial period we played a little more football. Ordinarily it’s a loss against a very good side. As I say most post match comments though the problem is the crap results against sides we should beat.
  • Also I don’t want to see any whinging about the Maddison Yates incident 😅 Honestly Yates went down like a sack of spuds. It wasn’t a forceful “punch” at all. If a Forest player had been sent for that I’d be fuming.

  • Seriously?
MGW was allowed to be fouled
Brennan had studs up to Danilo off ball
    The punch that wasn't
    Elanga frequently cleaned out
    CHO fouled at the touchline
    Foul on Neco
  • What's the rule for punching an opponent?
  • There isn't such a rule.
Tickling someone's tummy doesn't qualify as violent conduct.
  • Spurs' 2nd and 3rd goals were quality strikes. Great technique shown by quite excellent footballers. Both players wouldn't have even considered Forest when Spurs signed them. It's almost as though they're playing in a different League to us
  • As much as it hurts, i agree. Good goals both
  • They were just a bit better than us in both boxes. Been one of the stories of our season (alongside shit refsThey were just a bit better than us in both boxes. Been one of the stories of our season (alongside shit refs
  • Feel quite deflated having watched that second half.
  • Best team won.
Spurs are decent going forward and we can't defend, only one outcome really.
  • Clattenburg climbed out from under his rock yet?Clattenburg climbed out from under his rock yet?
  • When Postecoglou changed the Spurs midfield, I couldn't see how we could match it without changing formation, because we don't currently have the players, imho.
  • Would have taken your hand off for a point away against one of the tourist teams.
  • you need to be absolutely perfect and have luck on your side to beat a team like Spurs right now.
  • Luton were 4 minutes away from getting a point away to Spurs. We could easily have got a point today if we'd defended better and had taken our chances so not sure what people are mocking that we could never in a million years got anything out of the game today.
  • Tottenham just that bit better at key moments.

  • Yeah… sour grape flavour.
  • Reality Check - We were never going to win AWAY against a good attacking team.
  • Two good goals the difference but seemed to me they kind of stopped pushing at 3-1
  • Spurs are beatable and should be a team a counter attacking side like us relishes
  • Tots are likely to finish in the top 4.
That is a massive gulf in class between us and them.
No too pissed at this defeat

  • Really? So today was winnable?
FFS you'd think we'd just failed to beat a shit team at home
  • Disappointing but spurs away was always a big ask, move on to wolves
  • Going for it against Spurs is a scary idea considering we parked the bus and Sels stopped it from being about 30 goals for spurs
  • "What a pig of a result. We slaughtered Millwall Spurs and had 257 shots on target. The luck was against us though and they scored the only time they got out of their penalty area. Still, we managed to get the debt down by nearly £1m during half-time"

Why are some of their fucken posts writen twice? Why are some of their fucken posts writen twice?

That's a red all day if Mcgin got one
It was stupid of Madders but probably not equivalent to taking a big run up and kicking someone as hard as you can
It’s honestly unbelievable. What is the point of VAR? It’s the exact moment you intervene and get Maddison sent off. The level of outrage about McGinn getting red but crickets for Maddison punching someone.
I love the way he phrases this like he thinks the VAR should be a Villa fan. Also see above about relative levels of violence
Are we really calling what Maddison did a punch?
Get a grip people. I'd have sent Yates off before Maddison for being an absolute wetwipe
Here’s a Villa fan I can get on with

I have to laugh when people use that term.

"Oh you are right. We are a bit pointless aren't we? In that case any pointless club should cease to exist until there is only teams left that can win stuff."

That'll be just 4 teams then

What a waste of time, trying to be one of the best teams in the entire country and enter a competition to play against the best teams in Europe. Pointless.

  • Forest lad been watching our game with that shot there
Then he scores an OG. Ouch!
  • Spurs lead, need them to get a bit of form for the end of the month so they do us a favour or two
  • Relying on Spurs for a favour
    :lmao

  • Miss of the season!!!!! Rosenthal style
  • Romero just punched someone
  • Surely punching someone off the ball in the stomach is a VAR offense and should be a red, rather than going on about the player asking for the check?
  • Nothing to see there. Good process
  • England and Spurs James Maddison being protected, how is that not a red?
  • So if you’re English you can punch someone and you get absolutely no punishment? What a joke of a league this is.
  • What the fuck?
Shrugged off by the Sky commentary as well. “I don’t think he winded him”.
    :o

Is that the threshold then is it? You can punch people as long you don’t wind them?
  • Ooft what a goal.
  • Should be down to 10, now take the lead
  • That was arguably worse than the Jones incident against Spurs. Ref not sent to the monitor.
Probably to even up not sending the ref to have a a look at the Maddison incident. Not that it’s stopped them before. Reckon the VAR’s not actually watching the game.
  • Spurs lost Harry Kane last summer. They are now back in 4th. They have a better win percentage this season than any of their last 4 seasons with Kane
  • Ange's style of football mate

  • For someone with heartbreaking memories from 1981, this doesn't come easily to me. But; we need a Spurs win this evening...
  • Spurs can fuck off, I don't want them winning anything.
Rather them in the CL than utd.
  • Some shocking defending that by spurs
  • Spurs fans clapping the defender booting the ball away strange lot those fans .
  • United must be kicking themselves after the week they have had.
Could quite easily have got 9 points this week which would have put them in around 4th.
Villa are in collapse mode and Spurs are very hit and miss
  • Remember when half the media and the entire Tottenham fan base were saying Ange would do the same to “Spursy” as Pep did to “Typical City”?
  • Maddison being a dick there
  • So you can just punch someone and get away with it?
  • Don’t normally watch other teams but my sons staying and put spurs on. Anyway where’s this wall of sound that the single tier everyone goes on about is supposed to generate.
  • Spurs and chelsea trying to out shit each other.
  • When dis spurs change to white shorts?
    Real Madrid wannabes. Like Leeds.
  • Cracking strike from Van der Ven.
  • Good hit, to be fair.
  • Fuck off Forest. Just let them line up to shoot
  • Absolutely creamed it, keeper had no time to react.
  • Need Spurs and Villa to keep motivating each other, so a Spurs win isn't bad.
  • Two good finishes from Spurs defenders
  • hopefully they will be on form for Arsenal’s visit.
  • How is Maddison still on the pitch, these Var guys make it up as they go along.
  • Spuds are going to play a big part in the title run in
  • Hopefully getting one over arsenal.
Like they usually do with us? :-(
  • We’ve all got to play Spurs and one of us is going to fuck up against them, just hope it isn’t us

  • If Forest need to sell I'd be happy to take Murillo off them
    I cursed him
  • Spurs 1 Forest 0
    Murrillo OG
  • Offside imo
  • Quite clearly onside like
  • if the football gods could grant us a maddison and son injury, that would be appreciated
  • Wood you believe it!
  • I've got wood
  • Too easy, spurs nowhere near in the challenges in the build up
  • We can get at these next week
  • Red for Maddison?
  • Should be. Thankfully it was on Yates
  • Another big 6 team protected
  • Maddison lucky not to be off imo. Doesn't matter how hard he hits him the intention was there
  • You know that snivelling little shit will score the winner next week.
  • If that was a punch its a red. Strange they didnt show the replays from every possible angle like
  • Thats a red on Maddison all day long man
  • Spurs are well off it. We can get something on Saturday!
  • Should be a red for Maddison like. On any other player than that prick Yates and I reckon it gets given
  • Spurs 2 Forest 1
    Van Der Veen
  • 3-1
    Porro
  • Fucking hell Forest.
  • Spurs are well off it. We can get something on Saturday!
    This aged well...
  • aaah shit
  • Hell of an achievement if Matecoglu gets top 4 without a key striker
