I don’t understand why some of you are so bothered what fans of other teams think. Sure it’s funny but if you were expecting anything other than the blind loyalty from the opposing fans that some of you give Spurs, I think it’s very weird.

Still, puberty is a confusing time, so I understand with some of you 😂
Why are you reading the posts in this thread then?

Well I can read what I want right? And comment wherever. Like I said it’s funny reading them but getting pissed off about what other clubs fans think? you’re basically shouting at the mirror fan of you at X club.

and now your having a pop at me for having a counter opinion to you with a fairly ridiculous “why are you reading them” schtick.

its a forum mate, look up the meaning.

So to clarify, it’s ridiculous that anyone reads comments from fans at rival clubs because they find them funny, but it’s absolutely fine for you to read them and our fans’ responses because you find them funny?

If people are getting genuinely upset by comments I agree that’s ridiculous but I suspect the vast majority are just finding it amusing, exactly like you

Wow you are sensitive. No-one is having a pop at you. It was a legitimate question for you after you read and replied to a forum that you said is pointless. I doubt anyone over the age of 13 gets genuinely pissed off by any of it.

It's a popular page because you get a taste of other fans perspectives. You get the delusion as well which can be funny/ bizarre. And when we win it gets really popular for a while because its fun to read them having their meltdowns.

I don't think anyone reads this thread after a loss

  • 6-1 again please
  • Goals galore
  • They will manage 6 by the 20 minute mark if we play like the first half today or as bad as we were playing them away before Christmas.
  • Could be 4-0 either way
  • I don't know why but I've been fearing this game for a while
something about them getting us back for last season
am never confident when I see our bench
I suppose they did lose 3-0 at Fulham a few weeks ago so you never know with Spurs
  • They already smashed us earlier in this season
  • Maddison and Son running at our defence.
I'd snap your hand off for a draw.
  • This game is why we needed the three points against Fulham. I'd fancy us against them with a decent bench but we are probably a month away from that. Can't see us getting a win even if it is at home, would be happy if we get anything tbh.
  • This could be a ludicrously high scoring game
  • Can see us sitting deeper in this one and countering, at least I hope so.
  • Crowd to make the difference. 12 man needed big time!
  • Portsmouth 7-4 Reading is the one to beat.
we’re actually joint second in the highest scoring game rankings, losing 7-3 to Arsenal. Spurs have 2 10 goal premier league games, both wins
  • Spurs are quite decent defensively on the main thesedays. Especially with van de ven fit again
  • It's all on Bruno and the front three for the rest of the season. A Desmond wouldn't be a bad result in this one. Pity Maddison chose them over us, he makes Longstaff look like a pub team player
  • I don’t like how we match up at all. Assuming Willock is out or still playing crocked. We have even less pace than usual in the middle and the back 4 is slow at the best of times. Only pace we have will be up top again.
Play an open game and we’ll get battered. Something similar to Wolves where we commit men on the counter might suit here.
  • Longstaff masterclass and hat trick coming up.
  • Not looking forward to this.
    1-3 or 4
  • Spurs are clearly better now than they were last season , however don't understand why people are writing this game off so easily , even with half our squad injured we have more than enough to cause them problems . They aren't anywhere near the level of the top 3 who are the only teams we should be scared of at home . A draw is the least I expect in this one .
  • Too right, Spurs are decent but it was only 3 weeks ago they got battered 3-0 at Fulham, they're nothing special
  • given that Spurs haven't had any Europe to contend with and they went out of both cups pretty much as early as possible yet they're still only 5th in the league, I find the wankfest over Postecoglu more than a bit tiresome to be honest. Would be nice to humble them at SJP again
  • Skybet has them very slight favourites which is probably right. But we're definitely capable of beating these at SJP even with our current injury crisis
  • That 6 goal game has me twisted, but we're gonna get fucking humped
  • Think Spurs will score at least 2. Need to outscore them. Fuck any negativity, going for a 3-2 win.
  • can't take spurs seriously ever since we destroyed them on our way down to the championship
  • Actually think we’ll do ok in this one. Almost guaranteed to be goals for both teams.
  • Richarlison is back for this game meaning they will be at full strength. I'm not so worried about the first half as I am in the second half when they can sub on the likes of Kulusevski (or Johnson depending on whom starts), Bentancour, Werner, Lo Celso, Dragusin, Højbjerg, Emerson & Davis against tired legs while we can put on one of Barnes or Murphy depending on whom starts before needing to turn to childeren and pensioners.
If we can shock them early on with hopefully more than one goal, I can see us being able to hang on to something. If it's even or they are up at half time I can't see us getting anything.

Two more pages here, but gotta get some work done.

That's the most negative outlook I think I've ever seen from opposition fans. Pretty sure even Marine FC was more optimistic before our cup encounter.

(I hope this comment is within what's acceptable, gatekeeper Crimm).

I know everyone wants us to blow teams away in the first half but it's good to know that other teams/fans are starting to fear how we end games.

Match intensity and squad depth are two things we've lacked for years now; Fabio's squad building looks to be coming to fruition

What do you mean? :eyess:
I’m saying Ange does not have the best players, or best tactics or most money, or all of those available to him, like he’s had in Scotland, Australia and Japan.

There are managers in the PL who are tactically better, have better players and have more money than him.

He needs to do more to his overall game if he wants to compete. Otherwise he’ll do nothing with his current Ange's style of football. It’s not good enough on its own.

We’ll see next season… I think he’ll improve Sp**s, but we’ll also see by how much.

He is a very good player. But I don’t think he is very good CB. The guy has next to no areal ability and is positionally very suspect. It’s not just today. Sp**s keeper this season has saved more clear cut chances than any keeper. That’s why they only conceded 49 when it should be about 60. What he has is unbelievable pace that blinded people. Romero is the much better defender

Good on the ball also, agree positionally he can get himself into trouble but it would be difficult when you have to cover so much of the field. We know why Sp**s concede so many, CBs get no protection from the midfield and both wingbacks are way up field when a team breaks. Our CBs wouldnt look as good either if they were left so exposed.
Agree Sp**s CBs are not as good as Arsenals, but there is no nuance on this site, that doesnt mean they are complete ****. An Ange side is always going to concede a fair few goals in thr PL whoever thr CBs are.

There is no nuance on this site because its Sp**s, what do you expect?

Sp**s have a good team, and a good manager, they are good enough to be challenging for the top 4 with the players they have.

The problem though is that I dont think Ange is capable of being as good as the current top 3 managers. He can still change my mind of course, with the steps he takes from here on in the transfer windows and next season, but it would need him to add more to his game model. Lets see how he does.

Not true in Australia everyone has the same amount of money, there is a salary cap. In japan, its similar although i heard Yokahama is actually a relatively small club towards the bottom of the spending charts. National side, he beat the likes of Japan, Korean and Iran who had much better squads than Australia's squad of league 1, championship and Chinese league players.

But i agree the gap to the top of the PL is far wider than what he has encountered. PL managers are also more tactically adept across the board. Do you believe there is much difference between Klopp and Ange with respect to their team's approach this year?

Best players, best and most advanced tactical approach, best fitness, best money available. Its not just having the most money, as we see in the PL with Chelsea and United.

What's happening with Ange is that he and his tactical plans are being exposed as too one dimensional for this level. Now, its only his first season and he has time to mould his squad more and make it better. And that's where the test lies for his quality.

You would think arsenal fans blacked out for a few years under Arteta and woke up last season. Sure Ange is struggling for consistency this season but still in 5th place. How any of them can doubt he can push on when their manager took a few good years and now has them challenging is crazy. I guess that's just a case of their hate for us clouding their judgement. They probably wrote off Arteta and now making the same call on Ange. Lessons learned and all that

Micah Richards levels of prediction here from a gooner fan in the Football365 mailbox the day after the Champons League draw...
----------------------------
Long time reader, first time email.

Some people will be looking at this draw and thinking that we’ve got the harder side of it.

I think it is set up perfectly for us to get revenge on those who need it!

Bayern – Think 5-1, think Ar5ena1…Yeh Robben retired, we aren’t scared any more, Bayern got humbled by a team who nearly lost to a Scrabble high word score. Time for a humbling, (Harry, if you don’t win anything this season, maybe you’re the problem, not Spurs…Oh wait)

Move onto Man City – beat them, they stole our first PL title in 19 years. KDB is now over the hill and Haaland’s been found out.

Final Vs Barca – Yeh, Eto’o dived and you got Lehmann sent off, if VAR existed 17 years ago we’d already have a UCL trophy, revenge is a dish served cold.

Liverpool can have the Premier League as a goodbye to Klopp and we win the UCL, although if I’m being greedy, maybe we should win both and do the double…

RS – Bookmark this, in June you’ll want me to predict you some lottery numbers. I’m off fishing…

-----------------------

Yeah bookmark it! No wonder you only went with initials...presumably standing for Really Stupid!
