My word what a difficult question, so many great players out there from my 40 years (oh my goodness I am ancient ) as a spur. But just because I believe that he truly loved the game and seemed to realise that it was about the fans above all else, I have to go with VDV.
Hey all apologies if this is off topic. But do we have a chat / thread about which players have been called up.
I just want to know which of the squad are going to get the full conte treatment over the next 2 weeks?
As the song says my old man was an Arsenal fan. I mean he didn’t leave me any choice, I had to be a spur just to annoy him ?
I mean a certain Mr Hoddle might have had something to do with my choice at the time too ?
Absolutely incredible, in true Spurs fashion just when my interest was starting to wane they have pulled me back in. Been supporting Spurs for over 35 years, is it finally going to be our time in the sun? Whatever happen it is going to be great fun
Very rarely post but between the 1st game of the season and the West Ham implosion we only played 3 prem games !!!!! Sure we scored plenty in 2 of those games (Saints and Man U) but we also drew with Toon in that time. And yes we outplayed a couple of European minnows but surely you cant say we...
Hmmmm not sure he needed to say that, but we have to remember this is a player that has just been told he's not wanted anymore.
I'm sure once you find that out, feelings would very quickly turn to "i can't wait to get out of here"
Still wish you well Alex but maybe be a bit more careful how...
Personally I'm hoping to see the majority of our first team playing the majority of this game.
We've had plenty of time to assess the youngsters it's time to get our first team used to each other again and back up to speed.
Many thanks for posting, really enjoyed reading that. I've been a fan for almost 35 years now and this is by far the most positive I have ever felt about my Spurs.
Poch has created a squad that is better than the sum of its parts, and some of those parts are pretty damn good.
Can't wait for...
Well in the end that was very encouraging
A real shame not to see Janssen with Lamela for too long, as I think he may have ended up with a couple of chances
Real mixture of emotions, sad to see the old place start to be dismantled. But such excitement at the upward trajectory that our club is on. Thanks for the good times old girl but onwards and upwards
For me it's between Jan and Dembers.
Prior to Poch, Dembers just wasn't at the races and now he looks like the player we thought we were buying, fitness levels have no doubt caused his upturn in form.
Jan a couple of seasons ago just looked totally disinterested and I often thought, there's...
Yes that's very true, but things change very quickly in football. I actually think this is our best chance in a long while to keep hold of our team and progress.
But then I was also certain Sol would sign a new deal, convinced that Luka would stay and 110% positive that Gareth would give us...
I agree with your sentiment but I can also imagine Saints fans saying the same a few seasons ago. Now of course we have more going for us than they did, new stadium, better resources etc but if a Real Madrid comes calling.........
