The Return Of Dave! (Vincenzo Iaquinta)

Surely 'Dave' has become the most linked to spurs transfer in the history of the game. It is at least 5 seasons in a row

    Andy Carroll?

I like his hold up play - a bit like Viduka - I think he can be an asset for Tottenham that he can hold the ball up well for van der Vaart and Modric to feed off. The fact that he is also scoring goals is a big positive as well.

    Is Chris Hughton god?

I think he has done a remarkable job taking a championship side (with one major addition this season, Ben Afra, who is injured) to 7th in the premier league. Maybe he was the reason for spurs sucess under Martin Jol.

    4-2-3-1 The "En Vogue" formation

Mesut Özil signs for Real Madrid

Ozil would be amazing for spurs and I think he is more suited for premiership football than Modric. He absolutely tore Australia to shreds in Germany's first world cup game.

    Strengthening for next season.

IN: Sandro (Undisc), Robbie Keane (Loan Return); Tim Cahill (15m); Joe Cole (Free), Mitch Langerak (1m) OUT: Eider Gudjohsen (Loan Return), Alan Hutton, Jermaine Jenas, Jamie O'Hara, Giovanni, Adel Taraabt (16m combined) The main purchase I want the team to make is a true replacement for Jenas...

    Strengthening for next season.

I would like to see and i have ranked them in terms of priorities: 1. Goal scoring center midfielder - Tim Cahill would be perfect 2. Backup goalkeeper 3. Left winger - basically the clone of Lennon for the left side. A fast, attacking winger thats gets to the byline. 4. Striker - Maybe...

    The boys on loan.

Taarabt, Giovani = gone. Talented youngsters whom don't have the work ethic to cut it in the premier league Hutton = gone. Not required given the first team has 4 players who can play at right back. O'hara = gone. Especially after his comments regarding the spurs -pompey situation. Regarding...

    CL = quality signings

Spurs have signed quality signings from Europe in the past (recent histroy Modric and Berbatov) but those coming in are usally from low profile, mid to lower table teams. Now that the team has qualified for champions league football surely there will be a lot of very talented players wanting...

    Ratings vs Citeh

Harry gets a 10/10 for his team selection. Absolutely spot on and he learned from the Man U defeat. Most noteably I was pleased with he selection of Kaboul at RB and also the non selection of Palacios. Palacios is a regular first XI choice as a defensive midfielder but he hasn't been at his...

    Anthony Gardner....

...is the Hull player of the season thus far. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=716915&sec=england&root=england&cc=3436 I'm quite shocked. Edit: Andy Reid and Jamie O'Hara also makes the list!

Milan to swap Huntelaar for Pavlyuchenko

I rather keep Pav to be honest despite Huntelaar having a better pedigree. Pav gives up a different option with his height and is a good alternative to Crouch. Huntelaar seems too similar to Defoe.

5 reasons why spurs will not be this season's villa (in a good way)

Villa had just as much creativity as spurs with Young, Milner and G Barry last season. But you four other points are spot on.

    Jimmy joins

Apparently Alnwick is back at spurs from Norwich. Although reports says he has a hip injured and could be out 6 months.

    Levy wanted £17.6m for Pavlyuchenko

Fair price in the situation imo. If you enquiring about Pav on deadline day then you need to pay over the odds to get him as it doesn't leave Spurs a lot of time to get a replacement.

The players we haven't sent out on loan

    That was made permanent.

    Gomes' Injury

Just re-call Alnwick from Norwich. Problem solved

    Van der Vaart

His agent is talking rubbish. Just because Real Madrid doesn't issue him with a squad number, that doesn't mean he can go for free because he is not in Real Madrid plans. He remains under contract to Real Madrid whether they intend to play him or not and they can demand any transfer fee they...

    Keane to replace Jenas?

If the Jenas transfer request rumours are true, do you think its a strong possiblity that 'Arry will opt for Robbie Keane to play an advanced midfield role thus accomodating him, Defoe and Crouch/Pav in the same lineup. With the ground Palacios covers in midfield, he is more than capable of...
