Have to say, you picked a bad example to make your point.
This guy deserves his views because he actually has some comedic talent, not profiting off of the club as you suggest.
Not quite sure the 'wait till the window closes before judgement' brigade are so keen to pat Levy on the back for his unfinished stadium.
I'm sure Levy has smashed the stadium out the park but he and the transfer committee have failed this window.
Where did I say I'm jealous of their signings? I just wish we did our business earlier and got players in for the Poch preseason. I think Liverpool do that really well, doesn't mean I'm going to get a season ticket at Anfield and start signing petitions against Ramos.
I wish we addressed...
It's not as if we've spent zero. Lots of reactive opportunistic end of window signings - not all cheap either! With our revenue exponentially increasing, the highest ST prices in the league and our manager publicly demanding 'bravery' - time to stop making excuses I reckon!
Let me put it this way: if Poch had a head of recruitment like Edwards with some proper backing from Levy we would be fucking miles ahead of them... And maybe we would have something tangible to show for our efforts.
Klopp is better supported by his club than Poch is, yet fails to finish above...
I'm referring to their clear change in transfer direction under Michael Edwards since 2016. In just 2 years they have massively closed the gap between us, signed a 40m record breaking player in Salah and reached a CL final. He's done some good work and we'd do well to follow that lead instead of...
It's their transfer strategy I'm envious of. Each signing/media link fits a specific profile, gets signed early for a decent preseason and they never scrabble around on the last day of the window trying to fill glaring gaps.
The players themselves might not live up to the hype, but that's...
Is Grealish x million better than the likes of Onomah?
Thanks for the info as always. Your confidence is the only thing keeping me sane this window, on the surface of the tidbits I'm privy to, we lack a proper transfer strategy again.
That still doesn’t sit as the right reason for us to target someone. So what if he’s big name signing? His stock is declining and he plays in our most heavily resourced position. I’m arguing that there are other big name signings out there that would add so much more to the squad despite perhaps...
I agree he can't be criticised for leaving - I'd just rather we brought in someone else who hadn't left us before. Not in a petty way, I just think we need to move on. Bring on the 'next Bale'.
I'll probably get a lot of stick for the' West Hammy' comment - but ultimately I think that it's...
