I notice Arteta is standing on Klopp' s foot.
Just sums up everything I dislike about the current Arsenal team and their manager - all this sneaky 'dark arts' stuff.
I shou;ld add that it is a breath of fresh air that Ange doesn't go in for all that stuff and wants our boys to just play football.
Just seen the news, so it looks like I will need at least another 40 years......
That's four more 'years that end in 1', though I'm not sure that works anymore.
Still plenty of time to save up for a season ticket though.
Absolutely agree.
I am nearly 72 now (not the oldest here by far), but if there is one thing I would dearly love to see before I go, it is Spurs winning something again. League Cup, Euro Conference, something, anything.
Not a lot of info, but as far as i can make out: played the full game (not substituted), won a free kick that led to 2nd goal. Italy won 2 -1, wasn't injured.
Conte had it for sure, then he had had it and then he didn't want it anymore.
I really thought Conte was going to be a success with us and everything looked good for a while, but it seems he couldn't get what he wanted out of the Board or out of some of the players, peronal loss and illness...
Am I the only one to get annoyed by comments along the lines of - "Ramos inspired the north London club to League Cup glory" ?
For me, that was Martin Jol's team and I like to think the players won it for him. I don't think Ramos deserves much credit for that trophy, and the following season is...
Don't know if they qualify us unsung but M Hazard, G. Roberts, C. Houghton, from that era, were all players I loved. And let's not forget Ralph Coates.
Well…,unlikely thought it may be, he could turn out to be a flop….
Look at Chelsea with Schevchenko, Torres, Sutton,…. Gary Birtles at ManU. we have had a few of our own as well of course.. Wouldn’t really wish it on HK, but would wish it on Bayern
Great Thread....
Over the years I've had numerous different second teams - Back in the 1960s it was Brighton for a spell, because Bobby Smith went there after Spurs.... In the 70s I lived in various parts of West London, so QPR were my 'local' team, and there was the Venables connection, and...
I thought the manager search a couple of years ago was bad, but this is just like a nightmare that we cant wake up from: BM want to grind Levy down into accepting their offer, Levy doesn't want to budge, preseason seems to be going to hell in a handcart and round and round and round we go. I...
Greaves was irreplaceable, Hoddle was irrepalceable, Gascoine was irreplaceable, the list goes on, Sheringham, Berbatov, Modric, Bale, Allen, many others. They come, they go, we win some (sometimes), we lose some ( more often). That's football, Spurs go marching on. Let's look to the future.
I didn't watch the presser, just read a report. Just goes to show how additional audio-visual information can alter perception. Thanks for the correction - I was probably clutching at straws
Its interesting that in his presser, when talking about the Kane situation, Ange stated 'nobody from Munich has talked to me'.
That would imply that he has some input into, if not control over, who comes and goes who we sell and who we buy. So it's not all down to Levy (I hope...)
