I know it’s a Sunderland fan who said it, but based off the quote, she did say iconic, not impressive.
I mean Newcastle do have a big stadium. If it wasn’t for years of poor ownership…
It’s a lack of tactical flexibility.
When games are there to be won he makes strange defensive changes. Most glaringly against Italy and well, in every important match we have lost.
I don’t mind a double pivot when the opposition merits it, but to not play Bellingham AND Madisson (for example)...
Currently those 2 extra slots are going to Germany and Italy respectively. England lost the initiative on that when United and Newcastle went out.
We really need City and Arsenal to have strong showings in the knock-out stages to have a chance of regaining that slot.
Don't forget the europe factor.
That always takes its toll and could yet play into our hands going into the final stretch. Depending on how long the teams above us stay in the UCL/Europa.
How much remains to be seen of course.
Say hello to more injuries.
It’s bad enough with the stop start due to VAR.
If I had to decide on what a blue card did, enforced substitution. I appreciate that probably favours the richer teams, but it would make a subs bench more interesting.
Would be a shame, but if the lad has chosen them for footballing reasons, then it should be applauded. In an age where many go just for the money thinking they have made it, reasonably refreshing (I am sure he will be well renumerated at Brentford mind).
The belief in Spain was that Alonso was earmarked for the Real Madrid job.
Wonder if this changes anything, as they probably believed they had another season or so with Alonso at Leverkusen. As of today I would say ALonso is more of a cert for Liverpool now.
It's a shame how it panned out in the end, but for a long time I thought Eric Dier was a quality and underrated player. I will always respect him as a Spurs player and thank him for his service. He deserves nothing but our respect and well wishes as he embarks on the next stage of his career...
Actually most of what I have read is quite balanced. A few melts aside, most Bayern fans comments I've read seem aggrieved with their own club for waiting so long and understand that the player would rather honour his first choice. Plus yes, they say he is likely to get more game time at Spurs...
Well my Bayern friends seem smuggly confident. Would be nice to get one over them, alas my belief is he chooses Bayern. Bayern just usually don’t even bother with a bid unless they’re 99.9% certain.
Fake outrage to generate clicks.
When Conte came to us he was saying how scary the prospect was, that he still loved AC though.
But a player, who he never rated anyway (apparently), he is the next Judas... pfffff.... I always thought he was a numptey, and cannot believe he made it onto to...
Wigan were poor.
I appreciate they are league 1 and all their financial issues, but to pass it round at the back, only to then punt it long to no one isn’t good tactically.
No harm in punting, but have a target or two up front and runners from midfield to challenge for the second ball.
Wasn’t...
