That’s literally what everyone said about City until today. Liverpool’s defence is leaking goals and they should of lost to Southampton, didn’t play great against Norwich and went behind today. They def look favourites but we can easily improve and compete.
Don’t you think fans would be pissed knowing how much money he is taking, add to this he has injuries then add Real Madrid are not doing great at the moment (Not his fault). I think players need to know with that massive pay cheque comes extra criticism from fans. His salary is really crazy...
I think players like Lamela and Aurier live on the edge as far as physical fitness. They seem to focus a lot on extra fitness and gym work which has great advantages when fit but also creates more injuries. My opinion anyway.
People need to watch the semi final again. It’s not just the goals he scored. Watching it again it is remarkable his running and pressing, for one reason or another he has a different determination and belief for Champions League shown in his performances and his comments about the tournament.
He has only just started training with the others. There is no chance his fitness or match sharpness will be at his pre injury levels. I wish and hope I am wrong but I don’t think because others haven’t played a game for three weeks he will be up to the speed of them.
This is a potential theory or explanation regarding cups. Poch is possibly the best in the league at motivating and training players. However when we play in games that really matter such as other top 4 teams or semi finals both teams are extremely motivated which dulls our competitive advantage...
How old is he? Hopefully he can stay at this level. His stamina is so good for someone with such muscle mass. Plus his power as well to burst forward and back and grappling with opponents. Very impressed
People should always question what Pochettino or Levy do with the club. As long as it’s constructive and unbiased. Neither one of them are mistake free.
Last season everyone was passing to Harry at any opportunity, this year has changed because Deli, Moura, Son, Erickson have all gone themselves or chosen alternate options on multiple occasions. May not seem much but it could easily be a 5 goal swing, especially when I don’t think anyone has...
I find his recent comments that we were complacent after Man U interesting because I don’t think the performance changed. Given we were good second half against United but our first three games were not really better than our last 3 games other than the result.
This might be true in your local area of Australia. In Qld and NSW it’s a massive deal with government campaigns, police road blocks and heavy fines and loss of license.
I have always thought he lacks explosive speed that is more evident on larger pitches that are slower (longer thicker grass). In winter on faster pitches I think he always seems quicker and can break past players. In winter at White Heart Lane I believe he played his most consistent best stuff...
Sissoko is certainly not my favourite player but I have mad respect for him. He is out there giving 100% and not shying away from the ball whilst probably aware both sets of fans dislike him and Newcastle particular are booing him.
I think Spurs fans in general are more patient and understanding regarding spending etc than other teams. However Football is entertainment and I think a large part of the ‘fan experience’ is the excitement of a new signing and then watching the new signing and new team. It’s a major reason to...
I reckon if we drop points at the start of season and Poch thinks our late/lack of transfer activity impacted this, he will keep it in his head at the end of the season especially if we’re just a few points off. He won’t walk at the start, he still has honour and respect. It’s also hard to know...
This does matter, not the same as a proper fixture or the specific score result but to get out played shows we need our first 11 then we’re a step down more than our close competitors. However this could also be a positive as what Poch needs to consider moving forward.
Completely agree, the other players should of also tried to find him more. With Kanes specific skill set we needed to prioritise him in the attacking areas more. Like Ronaldo demands from his teams.
