Talking bollocks aside, Wilkins is a nice guy. It's like your grandad trying to speak to you about modern music, you know he's talking arse but you can't help but admire him for making the effort.
You said he cleary doesn't chat shit...he quite obviously does. I don't know how many more examples you need. After the AC Milan game he said how well the referee had handled the game "well done young man", he was speaking bollocks.
He said the exact same thing literally minutes after the ref...
So what do you make of this quote?
"I’m talking of course about Raymond Colin Wilkins MBE, on summarising duty for Sky Sports, whose performance last night achieved the almost unimaginable of being worse than any Tottenham player on the pitch. Peter Crouch included."
I didn't write that...
Here's a blog from the Telegraph mocking Wilkins.

Some choice cuts
"Maybe the occasion got the better of him. Or the intensity of the crowd...
He said around the 80 minute mark "Spurs can deal with corners all night long" this was after we'd already effectively conceded two from corners.
Pretty much the whole of the footballing fraternity is laughing Ray's performance from Tuesday. You should be thankful, he was so bad he's actually...
Said a couple of months back that his star was beginning to fade. He's a class player but he seems to be floundering in the current sytem, and so does the team for that matter.
Read an hilarious blog in the Guardian today. Absolutely ripped Wilkins to shreds.
Lucky the journo's not a member on here or else he'd be getting neg repped for daring to suggest that Ray might not actually be a very good commentator.
"Tottenham can deal with corners all night long"
I'm approaching this from a Madrid perspective as the title suggests.
It going to be a strange day for them because they are already through in their own minds. As I've already said, when you're Madrid, and you're 4-0 up against Tottenham, you can't help but think that you've already booked...
Good one.
In their minds they are already qualified, that is natural. A team like Madrid has a large sense of entitlement at the best of times, let alone when they're four nil up against Champions League new boys Spurs.
When they come to WHL. They're already through to the next round yet still have 90 minutes to play in London with El Classico on the horizon three or four days later.
You have to wonder what sort of mindset they'll be approaching the game with...
