He also always seems to be available for selection (I can’t remember the last time he was injured or suspended) which is another key attribute we need from someone playing a bit-part role, which is often overlooked by many.
Just feels like another Danjuma / Solomon situation. Good quality player to pick up on a freebie, but is he really going to move the dial for us? I have my doubts. Just another cheap opportunity who should be just about good enough to keep us where we are.
If saving money on the LW gives us...
Damn. He was the one I was hoping would come out of the blue. Shame he’s not up for the fight, I think there would be plenty of opportunity for him to get good minutes. VDV and Cuti can’t play every game.
So he’s not very versatile then… Not a bad thing, just means Ange needs to play him in his preferred position.
Yeah he works hard, but that should be the bare minimum for any player. He’s just never really caught my eye talent wise, just my opinion from my ‘eye test’!
Was great at Palace but nothing he’s done in a Chelsea shirt has ever “wowed” me or really caught my attention. Maybe I haven’t been watching close enough, as lots seem to rate him 🤷🏻♂️
For us to even bring in another non home grown we need to move on four of the following:
Lloris
Dier
Reguilon
Sanchez
Hojbjerg
Lo Celso
N’Dombele
Is that likely? It’s an awful lot of work that’s for sure. Can’t see us closing the Fati deal until four of those have gone.
I remember a few years back I had never heard of Patson Daka before. But Spurs Community got me all worked up about him, how many goals he had scored in the Austrian league and how he was nailed on to be the next Erling Haaland. We absolutely had to get him before one of the big boys did.
Next...
I see it the other way round.
The club leaking this to the press would be terrible PR as it shows the fans that Levy was willing to sell their best ever player and it was only Kane turning it down that stopped that happening. It would just feed into the narrative that Levy/ENIC will do anything...
I don’t think that’s disagreeing with me as I feel the same. If you’re fortunate enough to have Kane in your squad, you make your system fit him and build everything around him. I’m just saying I don’t think Kane is anything like the perfect Ange striker.
The way I see it…
Lets just hypothetically say that Ange was piecing together a perfect 11 for his system from scratch and he was allowed one world class striker, I don’t think he picks Kane, and I don’t think he’s even that close to the top of his list.
Of course if you join a team who already...
Yeah I’m with you on this one and feel it’s time for us to part ways now, otherwise we’re just delaying the inevitable. We’ve got a new manager and it’s probably best to let him start his Tottenham life without Kane, than have him ripped out of the team next year, with the media circus that...
Thanks @What Lies Beneath
The thing that bugs me the most with this is that Levy and the board have had an opportunity here. They could have shown Kane that they’re playing ball by meeting with Bayern and giving them a figure to meet etc, meanwhile they could have really pushed the boat out...
I realise this link is almost certainly bollocks, but I am intrigued about what happened to Mendy.
I must admit, I hadn’t been keeping a close eye on the Chelsea goalkeeper situation, however it seemed like the guy did really well when he first went to Chelsea, was getting all the plaudits, and...
If we were to go by the managerial hunt which resulted in Nuno, I’d say you’ve got at least 3 months and 24 candidates to analyse. We haven’t even sacked our current manager yet mate!
Poch seems such a weird choice for Madrid, especially after not really pulling up any trees at PSG.
Good luck to him if he gets it, but the whole fit seems wrong to me.
