Thanks for your service, Davinson, and good luck in Turkey!
It never quite worked out for him, did it? The main ingredients were there, athletic, strong, tall, good header etc. The lapses in concentration and occasional poor positioning were certainly problems. Perhaps he also lacked some...
I'm very disappointed to see him go. I think he still has loads of potential. He's still a young lad and perhaps living abroad wasn't right for him at this point. Who knows? Siggy and Holtby left, one would've been enough for me.
Good luck Lewis nevertheless!
I love his passion and commitment, but as many of you have pointed out, he was very slow this season and is only going to get even slower. We'll miss him, but I think it's time for him to leave. Bring Caulker back, I'd love to see him heading in Eriksen's corners. He scored what, 5 or 6 goals...
He'll get a season if he's lucky. The first string of bad results and he's out the door. Our chairman's style creates loads of extra pressure on managers after couple of poor games. Levy's a fine businessman but football is something he doesn't fully understand. Building a winning team usually...
FdB would be an intresting choice. He's young, already had some success (four consecutive Dutch titles for the first time ever), fabulous playing career with loads of European experience, four seasons of CL experience as manager also.
If he comes, he could take Niklas Moisander, Ajax's top...
Bale's season is over, I'm afraid. We've got six weeks left in our season and he's not going to make it back. Hopefully I'm wrong, but it seemed like his ankle went so far over that there have to be quite a heavy strain on those ligaments. If I had to guess, it'll be around two months.
If...
It seems like Mr. Clangerburg will do anything to get them level here. If gifting them 30 freekicks won't do it, I seem him scoring the goal himself. FFS, why it had to be him today.
Ade is either subbed off or sent off. He will not play 90 minutes today. If he gets sent off and we don't get 3 points today, I don't want to see him anywhere near our team again.
Defoe wasn't in the game but that wasn't his fault, it was mainly the midfield's fault, especially Dempsey's who has been playing like Defoe wasn't there.
Now we have finally woken up and look like scoring at last. There's definitely more goals still in this.
It wasn't quite the same when Teddy left, but he also left us for ManU in order to win trophies. Just like Berba. And if my memory doesn't fail me, didn't Teddy say that Spurs hadn't enough ambition for him or something similar. Didn't he get booed as well on his return to the Lane? Yet now...
I agreed with many things you said. But one thing I have to comment. You said that we should stop selling our best players. How, exactly? I mean that it's a universal phenomenon, the most successful clubs tend to get the players they want regardless of the 4 or 5 year contracts the players have...
I'm fairly confident that we'll finish in the top 7, but even if we don't, it's looking good.
Unless we finish below Blackburn and both Bolton and Everton stay in the top seven, we'll get at least the Intertoto spot, because neither Pompey or Reading have applied for it.
This means that if...
There are and should be no indispensable players. It's about the team and no single players, because when you get too dependant on single players, your form will suffer when they're absent. So there are only more and less important players.
About your list: Robinson's form this season...
