Feels like this one will be down to Connor. Chelsea seem pretty happy to cut down their squad and It feels like a deal will be fairly easy to come too. He is Chelsea through and through, Poch seems to really like him and I believe he captained the side midweek. I can’t imagine he really wants...
This. Still early days with Ange, but the future looks really promising. Does feel like we got our Tottenham back. It Does highlight how bad a decision it was to appoint Jose and Conte by the board but also, the fanbase, felt like we demanded the latter to the point we were about to march down...
Also a massive shout out to Sanchez. Came in and was pretty much flawless today.
Maybe with the team playing front foot football he might be more settled (if we decide to keep him - which I think we might do - ange may think he can trust him).
I didn’t really notice it with Son, but they always had one really tight on Kulu, doubled up on him quite a lot as well. Obviously wary of him after his first against them at the end of last season.
I think it’s also the nature of playing with a sweeper keeper. The idea of it is precarious in nature. I didn’t think he did too much wrong until the couple of minutes near the end with the cross and pen shout.
Mostly pleased with that. Probably a fair result. A lot of new players, playing some good football, at a side that are difficult to play against with a great home record. We probably a match or two behind on fitness two. Nervy in defence first half and front three never really got going but...
Entertaining half, ruined by a shit ref.
Kind of going how I expected it too. Early days of Ange's style of football could yield any result, but it good to see some good football again. Maddison running the show for us.
I’m looking forward to the game and the season but I honestly don’t know what to expect. My main worry is Brentford do to us what did they did to UTD last year with Ten Hag trying to implement a new style of play. Frank is a good manager and I expect Brentford to be well drilled and capitalise...
This ‘story’ just sums up social media and the modern day football fan. There is zero evidence of what Dier did or didn’t do. What people are suggesting he did is totally out of character. It just now people shouting things that suits their agenda. It’s grim.
I guess it’s not just about leading a team out on the pitch anymore - you’re an ambassador for the club to millions of people globally. The game has changed a lot over the last decade and more so than ever we as a club at at the foreground of that. Ange would have got a good sense who would...
Borussia Moenchengladbach (so doubly fuck Bayern) and Plymouth Argyle. I used to live in Germany in the mid to late 90’s as my dad was in the RAF, so always look out for them and watch them when I can on
Living in Cornwall, Plymouth are the closest team to me so naturally sort of follow them...
Even after we lost the likes of Modric, Berbatov, and Bale (plus the likes of Carrick and Keane) we’ve actually gone on to do better things in relatively short time, from being mid table, to qualifying for the CL to bring Cl finalists. Sure there were a couple of blips along the way, but as you...
To be fair Richarlison, Bissouma, Maddison are those types of players.
Seen as the best players at their clubs. Last season we never got to see the best out of the former two due to injuries, but it did feel like a turning point in the transfers we make. We never really done that before.
