Appreciate it's what drives interest but an ITK cull wouldn't go amiss. There is some utter nonsense out there and people literally so far down the food chain it's irrelevant, or relying on past glories, or even as I saw yesterday quoting an Igijedi post to say something is done? I mean give me...
The whole "not for RO" thing is a bit daft.
If you publish info on here it's in the public domain.
Any interested party will see it.
Send it through the goat if it's so sensitive
but then you don't get the glory...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Should we be impressed with a 40m deal for a fairly raw Eredivisie CB? It's hard to tell, but Sanchez was touted for bigger clubs at the start of the summer. Also our talent identification used to be great; Bale, Modric, Alli, Dier, Eriksen etc etc then has been weak the last couple of years...
specifically centre backs are hard to identify reliably via stats, other positions not so much, but sure team effects are obviously real and need considering. The trouble with CBs is trying to apportion some kind of weight to their contribution in the form of goals. So for attackers that's...
like I say, stats and centre backs are not cosy bedfellows.
so much depends on the systems they play in.
I would be suspicious of anyone making wild proclamations on centre back based on stats.
Honestly no idea.
You probably know more than me, but he seems well rated, and i'd be broadly encouraged that this is the type of signing we are looking at.

Believe a #thfc delegation (always a "delegation") went to Amsterdam early this morning to try to get the Sanchez deal done.
It depends on expectation. If anyone (or indeed the club) is looking at these two and thinking "their goal record looks tasty" then the bottom line is that it's likely deceptive. Other aspects of their play outside of goalscoring may appeal for different reasons
Just to bounce off this, for expected goals I had King with 14 Non penalty goals from 8.6 expected.
I get Keita at 14 NPGs from an expectation of 6.8!
That's nuts. For defined big chances (which are generally converted at a rate of about 40%) Keita was 8/9 last year after going 2/15 in the two...
shots per goal is a hugely fluctuating stat and not really worth putting much stock into.
I wrote a big thing on King and stats recently if you want a slightly more advanced version:

won't be everyone's cup of tea but one thing is...
