I don't see the need to rush with either player tbh, both are young and talented with plenty of time to improve. Wouldn't mind Yedlin having six months to a year playing regularly in England (ideally lower Prem) to help him find his feet though, might do him more use than sitting on our bench...
Yeah, it was the previous summer I believe, so we were essentially committed to selling to the next big club that came in from abroad the following year and unfortunately RM seemed to be the only serious contender. If it had been Real vs Barca interest the price would've rocketed accordingly.
I think the problem was probably that there wasn't another serious non-Premier League, big money competitor for us to play off against Real Madrid and ramp the price up at the time. They knew that we needed to sell and low-balled us accordingly.
