Seriously, I think football manager games have done us a massive disservice. As fans, we shouldn't worry about balancing books, net spend, or profit. We should concern ourselves only with keeping our best players and acquiring better players than the ones we have.
We should be trying to win...
I understand the fiscal need for Levy to be careful when handing out new contracts. However there is an upside to us generously rewarding our homegrown players: It will attract young talent to the club. If you're youth player and you can see the evidence that
a) we promote youth into the side...
How much are our so called senior midfielders getting? You know, the ones who can't get in the side... How much is capoue on, for example? He's every right to ask for parity, he probably won't get it right now, but if he's keeping higher paid played out of the team, I can understand wanting more.
6m for Ade is no where near enough. Replacing him for anywhere near that money will be nigh on impossible. I'd be most reluctant to let him go for that sort of money
That's fine, but there are people in the thread being very dismissive of social medias ability to be a good and powerful tool for the club moving forward.
It's about percentages though isn't it? Why not use something that has the potential to increase the clubs awareness for very little investment? You might not be interested, but there are very, very good reasons why the club should be

easy to dismiss social media as 'it doesn't matter': but it does.
Spurs have become reasonably proactive on facebook. Here's the rub chances are that 99.99% of everyone who likes our page won't turn into anything more, with little or no further interest in the team. HOWEVER - that 0.01% that...
Well I think it's a good example of a player doing his talking on the pitch. I'm pretty sure the club would rather he kept a lower profile. The issue isn't what we do with him off the pitch, its whether we can get a picture of him, e.g. lifting a trophy, socring against Barca, Real, Munich., for...
I think social media is a very decent metric for measuring our brand reach globally. I would bet that name "Bale" is better known than "Tottenham Hotspur" or anyother name by which the club is known (except "spurs" as that coincides with another team of course) - of course it's a trend, but we...
