I am a long time Spurs fan (25 years+) from the South West but have never been to a game (11 years of a growing family and career). After a troublesome year for some family members and a close friend, it has...
I imagine we will keep him until the Wimmer transfer and any incoming player is resolved. I think he showed that he isn't up to the pace of the league in a back 4 because his lack of pace was highlighted but I think he could be useful in the 3-4-2-1 system
What competitions are the development/academy squads involved in this season?
U23 Development League
Checkatrade Trophy
UEFA Youth League
U18 Premier League
FA Youth Cup
Any others I'm missing?
That will be a lot of games. I cant see many of the development squad being sent out on loan.
Has next seasons intake of 1st year academy graduates been announced yet?
If yes, does anyone have a list of their names? Playing positions? Brief write up of their potential?
He was my tip for Spurs player of the season. After his preseason form I thought he was really going to kick on. I hope his surgery finally sorts his injury issue and he gets back to his best in a spurs shirt. He's still relatively young and should thrive the way Eriksen and Alli have.
I was really looking forward to seeing this team in this formation this year but the way the side has performed in the new system has been outstanding and has brought the best out of the players. It will be useful to have 2 formations we are comfortable in.
A better 23 year old centre back/holding midfielder who can also play right back. A regular international that also counts towards the English quota. 4 words, John Stones fifty million.
In my opinion apart from winning silverware, the only thing Poch can do to improve is to react quicker in his substitutions. He often airs on the side of caution. Though I'm sure with experience it will happen.
Not many would argue that our theoretical best 11 for this season is:
Lloris
Dier Alderwiereld Vertonghen
Walker Wanyama Dembele Rose
Eriksen Alli
Kane
It has seen us change from our standard 4231 of recent years to 3421 that has become so fashionable this term.
We are on course to finish...
Full rotation IMO. Keep the 1st team as fresh as possible. This team should be strong enough to see off Millwall.
Vorm
CCV Dier Wimmer
Trippier Winks Sissoko N'Koudou
Son Onomah
Janssen
Pau, Walker-Peters, Davies, Wanyama, Edwards, Alli, Kane
