He’s their best asset in years, not hugely surprising they’re looking for a bidding war.
10 days to go but if he’s spoken to Ange already then I’m confident it’ll be fine. There’s only so much other clubs can do if he wants us and we’re clearly keen to get it done so fingers crossed.
Wasn't particularly keen on this during the summer but having watched how we play under Ange and how Gallagher has played under Poch I think it makes sense.
The reason we've struggled so much when we lose Sarr is because of his off-the-ball work. He's everywhere. Gallagher is the same, but with...
Clearly talented but reminds me a little bit of Sessegnon. Not a huge presence on the pitch and, as someone said above, quite timid. That header at the back post was a real chance but he was far too passive, and pulled out of a bunch of tackles throughout.
Still far too early to really judge...
Non-penalty expected goals, expected assisted goals, expected assists, shot creating actions (I think…)
Basically we take a lot of shots and would be expected to score a lot of goals
People can justify it all they want but we’ve sold Sanchez because, as ever, the financial gain has taken priority over the strength of the squad. Levy was never going to let him go on a free.
He’s our only back up CB capable of playing in our system, and it’s now more than likely that Dier...
I reckon we'll get this done late tomorrow evening with no other incomings so that people are relieved about this going through and forget about all the other business we should have done. Done it before and we'll do it again.
Also it's easy to blame the system but becomes much trickier when Gibbs-White is spraying balls around left right and centre and looks quality right next to Johnson. I do think individual quality shines through regardless of how good your team is, and I'm not seeing much individual quality from...
Might be the least inspiring set of full match highlights I've seen this window. I know everyone's clamouring for a signing but I really don't see Johnson getting anywhere near our first team TBH and spending half the Kane money on him is just bizarre.
Everyone could see it coming a mile off. I like the guy but I'm still perplexed as to why we signed Solomon as our 5th choice winger if we were this concerned about HG numbers. No squad planning at all, just opportunistic purchases.
Anyway, I think I'd rather Gallagher than Johnson if I had to...
Not a chance they sell to us this close to the deadline. It's Chelsea. They'll fuck about and it won't go through.
Also - spending the Kane money on Gallagher and Johnson would be so disappointing. A real lack of creativity or ambition.
The fact is that, a month after selling Kane and buying nobody, our window is seemingly reliant on getting Brennan Johnson, who wasn't even in the top 10 winger targets most of us would have wanted.
Even if we get him and some shit back-up CB, we'll still be significantly weaker now than we...
Lloris has been off since June and it was fairly clear from the preseason friendlies that Kane would have been our captain this season had he stayed. Semantics, of course, but point still very much stands in that he was our best player, talisman and (future) captain.
How utterly embarrassing. Pretty clear we sold our captain and best player with absolutely no clue how to replace him, and are now running around the market trying a failing to pick up a few bargains.
Sooner Levy has fucked off the better. Sick of seeing rivals showing proper ambition whilst we...
