What the pundits & media are saying about us

Well, I'm off to take a shit in the hope that it convinces Israel and Hamas to agree a long lasting peacful two state solution. I expect similar levels of success.

What the pundits & media are saying about us

From: https://www.football365.com/news/arsenal-again-liverpool-midfield-spurs-defence-top-10-pleasant-surprises-season 1) Tottenham’s defending Spurs have been pretty surprising full stop as we all wait patiently for it to go all to shit as it surely must. But the attacking enterprise hasn’t...

Did you inherit or to support Spurs??

My dad's a gooner! And my older brother one of us. Fiercely so. I was a latecomer to be honest. When I went to uni my brother was in a deep depression, bordering on suicidal. The only thing that seemed to stir emotion in him was Spurs. So I went away basically feeling like if Spurs won, then...

If you were a talented Spurs player...

Well, sure I'll vote to stay at Spurs, but I'm a wheezing 36 year old smoker with absolutely zero sporting talent of any type. Claiming loyalty isn't exactly hard for me, whereas trying to put myself in the mindset of a world class footballer is quite frankly fucking impossible.

Oh my god Oh my god OH my god!

That's a bit harsh mate. I'm going to blame his kid.

    Christian Eriksen - Completed

The current network has only had the Premier League contract for a couple of seasons, and seem to let the presence of Danish players influence their choices more than the previous one. Before that it was pretty much what you'd expect, Man U/Dippers top billing, and a fairly obvious ladder below...

    Christian Eriksen - Completed

I really want this to happen for the utterly selfish reason that Spurs will be chosen for TV so much more over here in Denmark if it does. I also wonder, if Siggy is likely to go on loan if Ajax could be a good option for him, them and for us?

Gareth Bale (Rumour to Deal Done)

Yes, imagining Cronaldo having a little sulk at losing his crown would be a little bitter bright spot in this for me.

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - The Get in There!/Oh Woe is Me Edition 28th August 2013

Well yeeeees, but the mere act of working out if he was, in fact, on a plane turned out to be a task of herculean difficulty yesterday. It feels like if he leaves training for five minutes to have a quick dump someone will tweet that he's definitely on the next plane to London.

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - The Ask a Silly Question Edition 27th August 2013

I think it's because... 'We have shown that we don't need Bale, as long as we recruit a suitable replacement. Even though, I should add, we all know that said replacement will not be as good as Bale himself, but will hopefully fill the creative hole our otherwise hardworking and efficient...

Dunno but if so I like the way he operates. Who needs contacts at the club when you're willing to risk a restraining order and go right to the source? :woot:

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - The Ask a Silly Question Edition 27th August 2013

Regarding 'now or never' - hasn't there been a lot of murmering that this is the last big summer for irresponsible spooging of money on transfers before clubs have to at least try and look a little bit like they give a shit?

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - 26th August 2013

Well my eyes must have been closed for the first half of last season, when Bale had only scored five goals, Defoe had nearly double that and we operated as a team with Bale only contributing as much as you might expect someone in his position to. And we were in 4th place. He only 'became our...

    Player Watch: Erik Lamela

I believe that in the case of a two-legged game, the player must be registered before the first leg. So sadly no.

    Player Watch: Erik Lamela

Actually that one makes sense - an ageing Amstrad model, clearly left behind by Alan Sugar when he buggered off. EDIT: I have just realised I that I have spelled out the joke you were making anyway. :banghead:

    Player Watch: Erik Lamela

Tancredi tweeted this about a minute ago: "Tottenham and Roma have reached the agreement for Lamela: 30m € +5m € add-ons" Still won't believe it until it's on spursofficial!

Gareth Bale (Rumour to Deal Done)

Of any set of fans, us Spurs fans should know full well that 'far too late' doesn't mean anything until the transfer window actually closes!

The Weekend ITK Discussion Thread 24/25 August 2013

Like many I no longer wanted Leandro as the 'answer' to our striker problem. That said, now that we have our star striker I'd be happy enough with Leandro as his backup - not sure if we could realistically aim much higher than that.

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - 23rd August 2013

Eriksen's very good but hasn't quite become the player his early promise indicated he might. The media over here stopped labeling him as the next big hope a while ago anyway. He's not the 'next Laudrup' anymore. I think they've whacked that burden on some other kid now...

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - 23rd August 2013

Nobody screwed anyone over Hazard, the player himself was a complete whore batting his eyelids at a number of clubs (including us and the Arse) for a couple of months. When Chelsea spawned their CL win he suddenly wanted them. But his behaviour the entire time, even when we were the team that...
