Listening to Cahill and Murphy on MOTD2 last night. :banghead:

90 minutes for Lo Celso please.

    Player watch: Christian Eriksen

Thanks for enlightening me!!! Perhaps Poch can relay it to Eriksen

    Player watch: Christian Eriksen

I watch every game, the full 90+ minutes. That's my analysis fella.

    Player watch: Christian Eriksen

If it's ineffective it's pointless, again watch MOTD post match analysis for some examples.

    Player watch: Christian Eriksen

Jogging around, ineffective closing down, and tackling is the basis for disagreement See the MOTD post match analysis for a few examples.

That covering ground stat so regularly spouted in support of Eriksen does my head in. He's ineffective at closing down and tackling so makes the jogging around pointless.

He needed the cash from an Eriksen sale.

Made the bench so must be fit.

    Player watch: Christian Eriksen

I thought Eriksen was supposed to be our metronome, it's his job to provide the stuff to work with and control the game - he was anonymous. The impact vs Villa has been massively overrated, naff me I think even Shearer on MOTD worked out how the game changed.

    Player watch: Christian Eriksen

Totally agree. Useless today. He's simply a coward in the tackle and he may run a lot but his closing down is half hearted and ineffective. Lo Celso will hopefully quickly fill his boots as he settles and then when Eriksen leaves on a free next summer, as he surely will the replacement will be...

Ex-Player Watch Player watch: Jan Vertonghen

Haven't seen much criticism of Sanchez in this thread. So a good move to bring Skipp on and have him marking Laporte with Vert on the bench. That's odd in my book and we clearly got lucky on that.

    Style of play

Completely agree. When I watch games I no longer have any idea what we're trying to do. Today I thought Sissoko was there to add protection to KWP but so often he was too far forward or out of position and KWP was constantly dealing with an overlap. Pressing has gone Pissing about passing at the...

Ex-Player Watch Player watch: Jan Vertonghen

Fair enough not to start if that is the case. But when we're under pressure for so long it does seem extremely odd we don't use one of our best defenders at some point. As we saw Skipp ended up marking Laporte for the last minute corner.

Yep, absolutely bizarre than Verts did not come on. Even if it was the last one instead of Skipp. Starting to lean towards there being more to this than an apparent lack of fitness.

Bang on. Sissoko was all over the place. I miss the press that we did when Poch first came.

Amazed Jan never get a run out, even for the last sub when Skipp came on. Surely he's not so unfit he can't manage 20 minutes being one of our best defenders. Something starting to not feel right

Worrying how so many players seemed to have no clue what they were doing. So little protection of the fullbacks I do genuinely worry about Poch's tactics

It's was ridiculous how easily City passed through us to the wings and managed to get to our fullbacks.
