Winning nothing means nothing. Unless us as the next generation of fans are happy with that. I’m not, especially when all the clubs around us win something occasionally.
Maybe but we’re in our least successful period in terms of trophies in 70 years.
We used to at least be guaranteed a few FA cup wins back in the day. Not now.
Let that sink in before we praise Enic too much.
That’s another issue all together which is a problem. If we limit who we target because we aren’t prepared to pay the going rate wages wise. How can we expect to improve?
If we don’t start paying more (I’m not talking City, Manu, Chelsea wages here) we can’t expect our players to remain happy...
The goals against Stoke and Arsenal were shots taken when there wasn't much else on. Other than perhaps a cross into a packed box.... fairplay to him there. I'm talking about when he fails to square it to in Lamela for a tap in and shoots from an impossible angle instead, or the many situations...
I would rather they did to be honest. Kane needs to learn to stop playing for himself but for the team.
His greediness at times has cost us points (just 1 assist all season).
Don't mind him shooting when theres nothing else on but not when there are teammates in far better positions.
For some...
I agree. I thought Mason was awful when he came on. We needed him to show energy and he was just too casual. If you look at their equaliser, he didn't attempt to shut anyone down nor attempt to block the passing lane....he was just jogging around, almost spectating.
Lamela had to go off, but...
Perhaps. But he costs 30 million, the others don't. Is it too much to expect impact on a game at least occasionally from a player who cost us that much, when he's replaced someone who cost us practically nothing?
We have to cut our losses on this guy before his suitors realise just how slow...
We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.
Yes, Lennon had dropped his level, but he was occasionally threatening.... Apart from the Pens, Townsend has contributed nothing in the last two seasons and Lamela couldn't scare a Squirrel in his Garden he's that ineffective and weak. Both of these...
It will cost us a 100k a week until the end of his contract six to pay him off and we might need him if there HK or RS get injured.
As much as i'd like to see him out of the club, getting rid of him doesn't make financial sense and giving him to west ham would probably be a bad move too in...
Thing is. We aren't a top team anymore. Especially in light of us actually making a profit this transfer window!
The sooner we accept that. The better. Our expectations are probably too high when you look at the workrate and drop in talent in this team compared to a few seasons back.
Fair point. However I think it's pretty convenient to forget our cup performances in an analysis of results.
Under Tim, We were also well beaten by Dnipro (lucky we weren't thrashed). Including the two legged Europa games, That's 1 win, 1 draw, and 4 defeats left out of Tims stats, and a whole...
