    Player Watch: Marcus Edwards

Absolute stunner from Edwards yesterday against his former club.

Your 1 favourite Spurs Player of all Time

Hoddle is the reason I'm a Spurs fan so it has to be him. I loved the entire 86-87 team though, especially the midfield 5. Hoddle, Waddle and Ardiles in the same team was amazing.

That's an odd name. Why did you call him that?

    Spurs Youth Thread 20/21

I'd forgotten that Marcus McGuane had ended up at Oxford. Another one from an academy (albeit Arsenal's) that didn't hit the heights that were expected.

Which signing got you most excited?

Gazza, Lineker and Klinsmann for me. I remember us signing Lineker and being really excited that he'd be linking up with Chris Waddle - and then Waddle moving to Marseille days later.

    The England Thread

We've definitely been unlucky over the years. Just from the World Cup: 1970 - Banks missing, the Bobby Moore jewel heist (!) and losing control of the midfield after going 2 up v Germany 1982 - went out without losing a game 1986 - hand of god loss to eventual winners 1990 - penalties loss to...

You can only name 12 on the bench and it has to include the two spare keepers.

The defending from Laimer on the first goal was awful. A stupid jump in the air to allow Chiesa to cut back in. Italy are good value for the lead though.

    The England Thread

With the quality of player we have I'd be interested to see how we'd do in an attacking Bielsa-style 4-1-4-1 with Phillips holding and two aggressive full-backs. At present we've got a number of players that play well in the spaces between defence and midfield (Foden, Grealish, Mount, arguably...

It was a clumsy over-enthusiastic lunge. I don't see that Ampadu tried to hurt him but it probably just about warranted a red. Flying makes it sound like it was two-footed though, which it wasn't.

Ok. So that was awful. From what I can see, in possession we were essentially playing a 4-3-3 with Phillips getting forward on the right and Mount on the left (although swapping positions with Sterling or Foden sometimes). It didn't work for a number of reasons, mostly due to movement off the...

I'd go Pickford Walker - Coady - Stones - Chilwell Rice - Bellingham Foden - Mount - Grealish Kane

I like Bamford but he misses a lot of chances. I can see why Calvert-Lewin and Watkins have been picked ahead of him.

Good initial 33 from Southgate. Tomori can probably feel a bit hard done by given his form for Milan and I'd say Wan-Bissaka v James is probably quite a close run thing but other than that I can't see that there are any real misses in this squad.

    Harry Winks - Leicester City

If you look at where he turns back in at 2.39 though, it's hardly like he's blessed with loads of options - Reguillon makes no effort to give him a decent angle on the left and the rest of the midfield is hiding as well. Yes, Winks is guilty of a lack of courage but I'd say loads of our other...
