Common sense prevails IMO. As you say I don't think it really affected the result, but it was clearly the wrong decision to send him off altogether.

I know there's a problem with concussion and they're trying to fix that. However, the rules are not black and white on this. First and foremost, it wasn't a tackle as I said above. They essentially ran into each other. They were both going for the loose ball, Kennan got there first by a hair...

Do we need to revise the criteria of why to award a penalty?

I remember one of the guardian journalists saying similar years ago. Why is it that any infringement inside the box, no matter how minor , results in an almost certain goal to the opposition. Meanwhile really serious infringements outside the box just result in a free kick. I think his...

I don't get the argument that he was too high though because he wasn't trying to make a tackle. The Irish player essentially fell into him after stumbling to get the ball. He also didn't "lead with the elbow", he turned sideways. His elbow and arm in general were against his side - he didn't...

Very harsh red IMO. As he said he just braced for the inevitable impact, which was unavoidable at that stage. His arm was at his side, so he didn't have his elbow outstretched or anything. It was just an unfortunate collision that meant there was head contact with his elbow.

    Dele Alli at Everton

I may be wrong on the numbers but in my head he was very poor for 2-3 years before that happened. That was only like a year before he left spurs wasn't it? Obviously I'm sure it's had a lasting effect on him generally to some degree, but I don't think it's what caused his demise.

    New Nike Kits 23-24

Hate the home one. Shiney badges looks so so tacky. Maybe if it was our kit after winning the league or something you could tie it in with that as an excuse, but generally speaking it's just naf IMO. And as for the weird QR code shapes, Jesus Christ.

    2026 World Cup - USA/Mexico/Canada

Is there a reason they can't have multiple games at the same time? I guess theres potential implications for the commercial side of things, but I doubt anyone is going to watch 6 games/day no matter how much they like football. Obviously you wouldn't want two of the bigger-ticket fixtures...

    2026 World Cup - USA/Mexico/Canada

Definitely the right decision to scrap the three team groups, but i still think expanding the number of teams in general is a terrible idea. Presumably just a way for Infantino to curry favour with the smaller nations rather than being because anyone actually likes the idea.

Bloody hell. Didn't even realize that was a rule. Seems a bit mad. I get why using the same ball is a thing in cricket but it seems totally irrelevant in rugby IMO

What happened if you don't mind me asking? I missed most of the match unfortunately.

Jesus fucking Christ now I know some of you are just intentionally trolling. I was literally responding to your post about politics/government policy. Fuck me I don't know why I even bother engaging with this shit sometimes. More fool me I guess.

Oh hello. Big shouty capital letters and everything. My oh my. So you've replied to one of my posts and quoted another one and somehow managed to either not read or not understand either of them. You seem to have it in your head that the fact that he was talking about Nazis is some kind of...

Sports presenter mouthing off on Twitter vs actual government policy indiscriminately affecting innocent people's lives. Yeah it's the bloke on Twitter who is dangerous :banghead: Fucking hell I despair sometimes .

When have I ever said he wasn't talking about Nazis? When has anyone said that actually? I'm sure linekar himself would clarify that he was indeed talking about Nazis. I'm really struggling to see what your point is. This isn't some weird conspiracy. As I genuinely don't know what point youre...

I didn't mean to sound condescending so I apologize if i came across that way. Obviously I'm not bothered about people taking the piss and having a laugh, thats a different kettle of fish.

I think it's important not to distort what he actually said. He hasn't accused the government of being Nazis. He's accused the government of using language that is similar to what was used by the Nazis. Some might say I'm just being pedantic, but there's a massive difference.

Exactly this. Ultimately nobody gives a shit who presents motd, if there's even anyone at all. The issue is this despicable tory government being able to call in a favour off one of their mates from the old boys club and have people effectively censored for expressing a perfectly reasonable...

Agree. I think the score actually flattered wales a bit. If they hadn't been absolutely gifted a try and Farrell had had his kicking boots on it could've been a real stinker of a result for them.

    PGMOL Statement - Lee Mason

Agree. Unfortunately the so-called authorities just seem to be scared of players and managers and let them dictate things. The balance of power is all back-to-front, very much a case of the tail wagging the dog, it's baffling to me.
