    Big Tommy Huddlestone

I like them both. Jenas was always missed heavily whenever he hasn't played. Everyone seems to ignore the work he does without the ball... but, i'd always have the Hudd on the pitch. Always. He offers so much, that few players in the league can do, I can overlook his lesser attributes as a...

Harry Redknapp still keen on Kenwyne Jones

I'd really like Jones. Exactly the type of player we need, which is important. I don't think the £14m figure is relevant. That was 1. when we were desperate and had to pay over the odds (£14 for palacios, a player that cost wigan £1m? not too long before). And 2. when sunderland are struggling...

Quotes from Harry on the Ledley situation

So right. You could argue that Spurs played him when we shouldn't have, and as a result he is going to have a dramatically reduced career. He doesn't owe spurs. He should be awarded witha contract for however long he wants to continue playing (and given some kind of role afterwards). He did...

Europa Qualification. Updated after weekend results

It's only in England that we don't care about the UEFA cup. I think because in recent years, staying in the league has become harder and most teams in the UEFA won't be in the top 6/7 year after year. The teams and managers that have won the UEFA cup this decade are all big names.

Some stats - JJ v Zoko

We miss Jenas when he's not there. He does a lot of work that people fail to recognise. I admit he can be infuriating. But because Zokora runs around like a headless chicken people seem to forgive the fact he's a terrible defensive midfeilder. He can't read the game at all. It's no coincedence...

    Jol and Spurs

Darrkespur, that's the optimism i've been missing! I really like your future. Let's hope!

    Jol and Spurs

I know what you're saying and I agree. Harry was bought here to get us out of trouble, and IMO he's the best man for the job. However, I feel generally gutted that it's come down to such short-termism. The pivotal moments in the last few years IMO were... Arneson leaving - The DOF role was...

    Jol and Spurs

Ramos' plan was to play neat passing football with athletic players in the same way that he did with Seville. You could see what he was trying to achieve. I think the communication was the biggest issue here, and that's why it went so spectactularly wrong.

    Jol and Spurs

My "Problem" with Redknapp, is that there's no obvious "long term vision". Under Ramos and Jol, i was always optimistic that eventually it would come good. There was a plan. Under Harry, I see good things occasionally, but he still hasn't seemed to get the best out of these talented players...

Interesting Redknapp interview; Keano, Modric and Steve Claridge!

Modric did pretty well at Wembley. He's even played very deep lying roles for Croatia very proficiently. We don't have the personel. Zokora is not the answer. Man Utd (yes, i know it's different... but) manage to play with almost 6 attack minded players, yet have a very good defensive record...

Good article from John Nicholson - Harry already broken?

I agree. Jol was sacked because Levy thought (all he wants is the club to progress) we could hire an improvement. A manager with back to back UEFA titles, and very nearly beat Madrid and Barca to La Liga. Ramos wasn't sacked for the same reasons. I had hope all the time under Jol, and under...

Redknapp - Clueless or a Genius? (Opinions)

I agree, but it COULD have affected the result. Why risk it? We were lucky that we didn't have any one on one opportunities to deal with. A ball over the top of a knock on from heskey, someone like valencia could easily outpace our defenders and we're left with a goalkeeper limping towards...

Redknapp - Clueless or a Genius? (Opinions)

It's no coincedence that we have always had the better results when Jenas is playing. When he's not there, we generally miss him hugely.

Redknapp - Clueless or a Genius? (Opinions)

Surely Alnwick should be considered decent enough to sit on our bench? He was playing well enough for us to buy him, so he must have something about him. And cesar played at a fairly high level previously in his career. Reserve goalkeepers don't play very often, I can't see the logic.

Redknapp - Clueless or a Genius? (Opinions)

Although, i've been criticising HR, I do agree with most of what you say. I think most of our players could do a job in a top 4 team. But we're in the bottom 3. Says something. I think the board were taken in by what happened with Chelsea, they brought Mourinho in when Ranieri was doing well...

Redknapp quoted in the metro today

Bale is escaping most criticism because, he's not first choice (he is in fact the only choice), and he's young with a lot of potential. That's why i'm not anyway.

Redknapp - Clueless or a Genius? (Opinions)

Which bit is incorrect? He was injured quite a while before the last 2 subs were used, and was waving to the bench saying he needed to come off. He even limped when coming out to close players down
