The only players leaving at present (who knows about Bale) are not good enough for a team that wants to finish top four. Any disharmony comes from those who are not good enough.
Starting eleven plus 3-4 others are at the level we need if you substitute Verts for Friers, but after that I think that we are lacking in depth. Good to see Sandro and Kaboul back, but can see why we need Capoue and others brought in.
Sorry but Hudd has consistently shown that he is far too slow for a top Premiership team. He has not fulfilled his potential and his so called passing ability is shown far too rarely. Doesn't score enough goals and we need to sell him.
You're probably right about Lennon and Townsend. Friendliest are arranged long before players fitness is known for sure. AVB probably hoped some of the current injured players would be fit by now.
Five injuries (3 CBs, Sandro, Holtby,), today add Defoe, Paulinho and Soldado to come in, Ade not available for personal reasons. That's a lot of a potential first team squad not available. Some may be sold but others will come in.
Stop complaining and have some faith.
It was a poor performance...
I am sorry but Suarez is the lst person I want to see in a Tottenham shirt. A very good footballer but a despicable human being. A racist and immature man.
Wait until you have had nearly 60 years as a supporter. You realise that you have to be neither optimistic nor pessimistic, just wait until it happens or doesn't happen. Just chill.
The only consolation is that not many who played today will be in the first eleven. Maybe Walker, Dawson, Verts, definitely not Parker, Hudd, who must make the slowest CM pair in the Premiership. But it was the very luck luster display of several who could be on the fringe of the first eleven...
The problem with Hudd is that he is far too slow for the Premier league, if he makes a mistake he cannot recover. He has never lived up to his potential since joining from Notts Forest and he has had a lot of opportunities. Time for him to move on and I doubt it will be Premiership team.
I was there and remember the game as I was so excited that I was going to see Greaves.
As for souveneers, I have the autographs of the push & run team from the early fifties, obtained for me at the time by my Dad. I was 5 back then.
