    I think Keane's record is something like 17 out of 20. Not perfect but not bad either. I couldn't fine Defoe's record but I am sure it's not that good. I didn't feel confident he was going to score and I dont think he did either.

    Keane may be lacking confidence right now but he is reliable from the spot.He has scored some pressure pens over the years. Defoe is not a reliable penalty taker- would it not have made sense for Keane to have come on ?

    Yes that would certainly be an option too. Either way I feel that if he was given a couple of full games he would grab his opportunity.

    I also think that he could be another reason that Pav can be offloaded in January. Playing Gio and Lennon as out and out wingers with 1 of our central strikers and Jenas, Palacios and Modric in midfield might be an interesting tactical option.
