You're both right and wrong.
Of course we would be weaker without Kane. He's a world-class player and our attacking system revolves around him. We were weaker when Hoddle left; and Waddle; and Gazza. Yet we got by (okay we were shit post-Gazza, but that was board mismanagement).
If Kane goes...
"I've paid good money to watch this. I'm paying their wages. I deserve to see them play well. Boo-ho. Poor me............BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
Spoiled children.
This reply to my previous post shows me that you just don't get it. I look forward to your post telling me that I've never been to an away match.
Have a nice day.
I didn't intend to start a dick-waving contest. I don't give a fuck how many away grounds you (or I) have been to. I was trying to show you how much you sound like a complete prick.
I obviously failed.
I've been the kind of fan that you describe yourself as. I've probably been to more away grounds than you and spent more money on the club than you. I don't consider myself to be a 'better' fan than those who haven't done that. As for you being more emotionally invested in the club than somebody...
I only saw the second half, but my misgivings about Royal were unfortunately reinforced. I completely understand why we're shopping for a right wing-back. On the other hand, I was very scathing of Reguilon last season, but he has been markedly better recently and we might be fine at LWB with him...
You might be right - but there wouldn't be anything to stop other parties from bidding for it. Taxpayers would want the highest possible price to be realised for it.
It is prime land and any third party buying it would be completely within their rights to knock it down and build something else...
While I respect your longevity, to equate Harris with Dave Mackay does the latter a great disservice. Harris was an average defender who kicked people all day long. Dave was a majestic player who was hard but always fair and who was also a truly great footballer.
I'm assuming it's his tribute to when 'West Ham won the World Cup'. I don't think that's a stretch, but credit to you for assuming he's not a complete tosser.
Fucking idiot even has the wrong trophy there. England won the Jules Rimet, which was given to Brazil (and subsequently lost) after they won it in 1970. The current trophy wasn't played for until 1974.
