Watching back the weekend’s football, Simon Adingra is starting to put in constant performances weekly for Brighton now. He’s always looked a handful for defenders with his ball carrying, dribbling and speed. But he is starting to add in some really incisive progressive passing which is not only...
We had no other fit fullbacks to bring on. How on earth is that his fault? He probably recognised two weeks ago it’d be a problem but if nobody is healthy to play LB he can only choose the least worse option, which was Royal.
Richarlison is clearly nursing an injury, again not Ange’s fault...
Ah so break up our CB partnership, change the tactics we’ve played all season against a title challenger and hope for the best? It doesn’t work like that, it’s not fifa, we’d have got obliterated
Can’t believe Ange is seriously getting pelters for playing our only other fit full back at full back... He definitely should have played Lo Celso or Dragusin there, they definitely would have handled Salah…
Ffs some of this ‘criticism’ is bordering on moronic
What is Ange supposed to do? Stick Udogie out there in crutches? Play VDV or Dragusin in a demanding position they don’t fit and have never played before?
If he’d stuck Skipp out there from the start he’d be getting slaughtered too. This is just wildly unfair
How anybody can watch that game today and came to the conclusion Ange has lost the dressing room is genuinely wild.
Also how people can blame his tactics as the main problem today when he has this squad at his disposal? Richarlison being on for 30 mins showed how good his football can be just...
Okay long post incoming…
There are certain teething issues I will happily lay at Ange’s feet - namely set pieces, some team selections and the lack of youth intergration. But I really don't believe what we’ve seen the last few weeks is a true reflection of his ability or coaching.
Early on...
I'm getting sick of people saying this. He has clarified multiple times now. He isn't saying set pieces aren't important or he won't coach them. He is saying that fixing set pieces alone won't solve the issues with the team and allow them to grow, so it's not a priority for him right now.
This...
Convinced he's still carrying a knock. Looks an absolute shadow of his abilities he's shows for years. It's not like he's trying stuff and it's not coming off either. He's just invisible
He completely rotated the midfield today and last week played Hojbjerg after people clambered for him for weeks. If you're going to criticise him at least be truthful.
