    One thing the womens game does lack, is when the chips are down , and your losing by a goal, noone has the idea to rain long balls into the box hoping for a var pen. Long ball is going to be fairly devestating for pens next season.

    i think its a mark of how well he relates to the players. They're adults. If there was any sniff of an issue, you'd hear about it. So if the players are fine with it, i'm fine with it.

    I always hedged my bets slightly because the relative highs and lows of clubs are cyclical. But having had to put up with the 1990s and 2000s with arsenal fans gloating about the london derby as arsenal men v spurs boys, I feel oddly happy to stick the boot in now.

    Its just deflection, they havent realised the owner will let arsenal drift into mid-table, or worse so long as he makes a profit to invest into other teams. I reckon wolves or leicester or everton will give arsenal a run for their 40p this year.

    How many pages did the womens world cup the last it was held get here? 5? 1? 0? I'd say 61 is a big improvement so far. I bet next time it'll be 100+ . So the men have stopped scratching their balls on the sofa, reached for the remote control, and watched it. Thats a positive sign.

    despite the sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach, the positive is that at least it wasnt germany. But luckily for us in the match that noone cares about on saturday we'll end up playing germany probably... salt in the wound. maybe not i forgot its sweden v netherlands. So we'll play sweden...
