agree with that even though am not a Jose fan but if we win that final and he overhauls Chelski he does deserve another year. Would go so far as to say that if he gets top 4 that is enough for one more year.
Would rather have Jose out and an entire new structure on the football side put in but...
frankly it has to be much more than that. Honestly in a squad with experienced players etc. simply Alli and Winks would not derail the season.
Particularly when you think about the end of the Poch era where Winks was a fav and Alli played a lot
which suggests that it comes down to Levy --- should have had the big clear out after the CL final ---- instead he gave new deals to dier, toby etc etc.

think that the team was at the end of a cycle. I actually don't believe it had anything to do with the near misses - for one they rallied from leic to finish higher the following season and then make the CL final. Also, Poch was talking about a new cycle pre CL final.
Real issue was the group...
this post - absolutely correct - but we were told Levy wanted to keep valuable assets like Toby, Dier et al
Needed the big clear out and the five year cycle - instead a mess of a squad, wasted money and frankly who knows where we get a Poch like manager.

"Levy would 100% ship the boat out for Mourinho if Poch left and he was available, Levy wanted him desperately after Chelsea.
Would be panic stations because he could destroy all the hard work we've put in...
remember we were told that Levy was either going to back some of the players or Poch and chose the players....seemed like a bad idea then and a worse idea now
interesting to see the couple of negative reactions to this post - they don't square with comments from so many of our players. From Jan to the most recent remarks from Moura: https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/fixtures-results/mourinho-son-celso-lucas-live-20193838
The defensive group is really a strange one at the moment. A few good elements for now and the future, some players who just don't fit and others who are probably on the decline. Not easy to sort out. Particularly with a gap between the system the manager wants to play and the best one for the...

If this lad wasn't so unlucky with injuries he'd be a global star and either our captain or at Barca/ Real
saw this post: Since Tottenham beat Arsenal to go top of the league in December, they have played a top half Premier League team 8 times (7 in the league, 1 in FA Cup). They have lost all 8 of those games. Mourinho masterclass.
