really good - best free gift i've ever got from the club
so many things i've forgotten/never realised
we had some really good players in the early 2000s
cudicini was the keeper when we beat chelsea 5-1 (and was 'less than good' on the 3rd and 4th goal)
mike 'it's a penalty' dean...
no news on the OS that i can see
but haven't seen anything on here, NewsNow, wherever
wonder if any other forums have an insight that someone has read?
good to see Bassong fit again BTW
well my 'wild' and 'amazing' idea came to fruition today
so doubteless harry will be receiving torrents of abuse for such a stupid move
oh wait - no he won't - because it worked perfectly well, we won that particular quarter of the game where he played there 1-0, and the kaboul santos combo...
Given the new rules re 25 man squad, i believe I'm right in saying Kyle doesn't have to count as part of the 25, because he's under age
I, and others, think he looks good enough now to be decent cover as CB (better than corluka for one, for me)
would it better for us, given woody's demise...
yep - our now traditional pre-season trophy is on its way today if we beat lisbon
from what i've read, given that lisbon i think only need a draw, we'll be outsiders to lift the trophy, but summon up the memory of the peace cup you spurs and bring the cup back home to white hart lane - oi!
COYS
I'm really looking forward to it
as the first TV game of the pre-season, I can feel the 'real stuff' coming in quite quickly now.
Would have liked some team news on the OS - but can't see any.
with Crouch and Defoe presumably playing no part in the USA tour, seems a good chance to try Pav as the lone striker
it worked well yesterday it seems
obviously can't play pav every minute - but at least there should be plenty of game time to try it against decent opposition
i see that Deloitte have published their latest look at prem wages for 08/9

the normal suspects occupy 1-5
Chelsea - £167m (£172m)
Man Utd - £123m (£121m)
Liverpool - £107m (£90m)
Arsenal - £104m (£101m)
Man City - £83m (£54m)
I can't...
C'mon the Tigers!
they take points off Villa, it's a double whammy
finishes off villa's chance of 4th and puts pressure on the Hammers so they maybe can't do what they soooooooooooo want to do - lose to city on the last day
and what a great day it was
really enjoyed the greaves videos and bobby smith i/v
two players we got from chelsea
:-)
there's still quite a few at the Lane who haven't got a clue about supporting the team, rather than giving their half-****d analysis
but mainly the fans were brilliant -...
sorry if this is in the wrong place, please move if it is.
I'm looking out for tkt exchange for our last 3 games
but someone on here said that you need to be a bronze member?
that's not my understanding (am a lilywhite) but just wanted to check if anyone knew for definite
i tried phoning...
Shame they didn't start v wolves and hull
i understand why harry started keane, but any realistic chance of 4th probably disappeared in those two games
with defoe we have pace - with crouch we have aerial ability
they are a better partnership than crouch and keane or the diddy combo
apologies if there's already a thread - if so please close this one
so back to the football and a massive game
the FA Cup is our only chance of silverware, and providing we can avoid chelsea in the draw a completely realistic one (unless Gomes gets injured/suspended - but I've said enough...
I know Defoe's substitution and possible causes have been mentioned but i can't see a thread on it - and it's of massive concern
losing defoe and lennon for anfield would hurt big-time (please please, not crouch and keane - rather have Crouch in a 4-5-1 that doesn't include Keane)
so just...
i'll happily admit to being pleasantly surprised by niko - didn't think he'd be this good - so big thanks to him and harry for getting him in - at a bargain price too :-)
Has anyone noticed how ever since that horrible horrible day in may at upton park, how their club has crumbled
they were 9th in the lge and how they celebrated that fact (it was that they were celebrating so wildly wasn't it :-) and in the Cup final
the next week they blew the cup final...
When Harry joined, some /many people thought he's bring in quite a few 'big, strong, fast' players
interestingly he's bought niko, almost the antithesis of 'athlete' (a 'bargain' may be the operative selling point here) - keane ditto (not the 'bargain bit' obviously :-) and Crouch, see above...
So Defoe is Harry's boy, and we're going to play Modric off a lone striker.
If it's Harry's boy Defoe it'll never work,
even more nightmarish with lennon and young too
if it's a big striker, what happens to Harry's boy, and I don't like the idea of Modric in the hole anyway
Take it or...
