    The Formula 1 Thread

I don’t like Horner at all but unfortunately Toto wasn’t much better yesterday. Telling FIA stewards not to bring out the safety car when Giovinazzi retired was just as bad. Team Principals should have no input on these decisions. Don’t get me started on the negotiating in the last race for...

    The Formula 1 Thread

I get where you are coming from but it’s by no means the first time. You’ve got 1989, 1990 and 1994 off the top of my head. If/when Verstappen goes on to win multiple titles then 2021 will count alongside the titles Prost, Senna and Schumacher won in controversial circumstances.

Player Watch - Steven Bergwijn signs for Ajax

Hard to make a judgment on him right now. Looked very promising last season but seems like a year playing under Jose has drained all his confidence. Hopefully a new a manager might get a lot more out of him as I think there have been glimpses of potential.

    Harry Kane

The defence does need work but the Lampard/Tuchel situation shows how much difference a coach can make in a short space of time with some tactical adjustments. It won’t be easy but I think the right coach could get us playing much better next season, particularly with the attack talent we have...

    Harry Kane

To be honest, as one of the senior figures at the club, I’d actually be concerned if he wasn’t raising questions with the club about what our direction is and where we are headed. Because it’s exactly what we are all thinking too. Clearly there’s still a lot to be decided and it’s by no means...

How long do you want Jose to get?

I do think this is a good point. If our top players are fully behind him then I’d love to know what is going on tactically at the training ground because it doesn’t look like there is a coherent plan in most games. Or is there a clear tactical master plan but the current players are incapable...

How long do you want Jose to get?

Irrespective of the other clear problems at the club, if you play the football he plays then you need to get results. And if we don’t qualify for the Champions League then he’ll need to go.

    Europa League 20/21

Agreed, although it’s not just the defence that is the problem, it’s also the lack of any sort of cohesion in midfield or attack. With Kane, Son and Bale we could have relied on the attack to get enough goals without even worrying about how many we let in at the other end. Instead we’ve been...

    Europa League 20/21

It hurts seeing that draw. With the players at our disposal this cup should have been ours. Our record in this competition really has been a disgrace over the years.

The Race for the Title, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or even 6th Thread.

The problem was that a lot of Poch’s success was built around Dembele’s role. Failing to replace Dembele was the end of the Poch side really. He managed to get a tune out of Sissoko for part of the 2018/19 season but this only worked for so long and then we ran out of ideas. I think Poch had...

The Race for the Title, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or even 6th Thread.

Yeah it’s the performance today that is the real killer. If we had played like we have done in recent weeks and peppered their goal with shots and been unlucky then you’d put it down as one of those days and be hopeful that we could claw back the points. The real difference between us and...

The Race for the Title, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or even 6th Thread.

Can’t remember our specific league position but we weren’t far off relegation in 03/04 when Pleat was caretaker after Hoddle got sacked. Think it was only Leeds losing to Bolton with a couple of games to go that secured our safety. We’d gone about 2 months without a win if I remember correctly...

The Race for the Title, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or even 6th Thread.

Agree it would be a very difficult task, but after tomorrow we will have already played 4 of the current top 6 home and away. If we can keep up the recent improvement in our attacking play then I still think we could be in with a shout to the end based on our fixtures.

    The Mauricio Pochettino thread

I’m willing to accept the idea of a “painful rebuild” if Poch actually started showing signs of implementing it. Instead I’m just seeing the same old stale team selections and tactics every week. Poch needs to start trusting the players signed for the future. Players like Ndombele and Sanchez...

Match Threads Spurs vs Watford - Match Thread

Poch talks about wanting to rebuild but it’s almost like he’s unwilling to do so. The players that have “different agendas” and are actively looking to be sold are starting every game - and the players that have been signed for the future either start on the bench or are hooked at half time when...

    Spurs in Norway

Bit of a long shot this but I'm in Alesund on 14/09 and hoping to find somewhere to watch the Monaco game. What are my chances? Also in Oslo on 10/09 and hoping to catch the Stoke game if I have time. Have had a quick look on the Norwegian Supporters Club site but struggling to find my way...

    Emmanuel Adebayor blasts Tottenham fans:

I heard booing from a few last year at West Brom (after we went 3 down) and Liverpool (when we went 4 down) last year but you're definitely right about there being more support away from home. I think what helps is that the few that do turn up away games that moan and groan (and there are...

    The 'System'

I actually think they're a bit misleading. In both AVB's and Sherwood's game we went a goal down in the first half and Wenger sat back and played on the counter knowing full well that we lacked the intelligence to break them down. Hence lots of possession and long range shots when we were...
