We must want United to beat Villa, surely? United are effectively 3 games behind us with goal difference - even if they win today. So they're not catching us in any event.
Another Tottenham born and raised boy said it best...
"I like them. They're a great club... and to be associated with them... was nice" **whilst choking back the tears**
Going to massively come down to how he performs in these remaining games. Could be another real bonus of getting Mourinho out early. His only proper run so far was 7 goals in 6 games and 6 straight wins. Repeat that and we'll be asking for another year on the same terms I would think!
This battle for 4th is like the end of the film the Love Bug where Herbie splits in two but the back of the car still finishes 1st and the front of the car finishes 3rd ? I honestly think we'll do it you know!
Remember when WE used to batter Mourinho and then mock HIM? The decision to appoint him is like Levy has learned nothing in 20 years as a chairman. Not. One. Thing
Been 12 years since we finished outside the top 6. The '2 points from the first 8 games season'. Mourinho should at least get that done and then head straight for the exit door.
This is it. It is like when George Graham sold Ginola and we all thought 'well at least he's going to give Etherington a run now' but instead he started playing Oyvind Leonhardsen left wing! Mourinho is just another dinosaur in the same mould.
What annoys me is the absolute waste of the last 18 months. Sure, maybe Poch time was up. We needed then to get in someone with a similar ethos. Last season would then be the transitional season and then this season make a bit of progress. Levy just went for the name though. A shocking appointment.
Even if we have to have a massive rebuild... would you trust this complete has been to spend it? I wouldn't. Get in a young progressive manager. Someone who has done well with relatively limited resources. Mourinho is the absolute opposite of this. Stealing a living for years now. Spending...
Tick Tock, Jose. Tick, Tock!
18 months and zero improvement anywhere. Yeah, it isn't a world beating squad but to be so far off Leicester, West Ham and increasingly Everton in a battle for top 4 and increasingly now struggling for top 6... an absolute joke. Get him out.
It is quite reasonable and rational to be a pessimistic Spurs fan. If we do well it is a big surprise and everyone is happy. If we do badly the pessimists are surprised and the optimistists are gutted. Adter 8 FA Cup semi defeats I know where I stand on this! :)
Sorry I don't get the point? The other poster said at least Poch had stopped the regular beatings? I was using the 0-3 defeat to Stoke yesterday as an example of a regular beating. Then I used Sherwood's big wins, and goal difference, to show that Poch has invariably has only been winning...
