So what about that for a season! Good or Bad?

Now the season is over and we can reflect on it at our leisure what does everyone think. We started the season having reached the CL final and bought in some shiny new talent in Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessignon and, although he hasn't arrived yet, Jack Clarke. Some twelve games in we parted company...

Safe standing seating at Molineux have we started something?

News today that Wolves are installing safe standing rail seats in an entire stand and a safe standing campaigner said “Having recently seen the seats of this type at Spurs, I look forward to seeing what they will look like at Molineux.” Wolves are emphasising this isn't a safe standing area but...

Stevie Perryman going to Wembley with Exeter City

Just spent an enjoyable hour and half watching Exeter City beat Lincoln City to reach the league 2 play off final. Steve Perryman has been Director of football down there for 17 years and is retiring this season which means his last match in football will be at Wembley in a final, I like that.

Young English players selection process right or wrong

After the sad failure of our under 21's yesterday we will all no doubt ask what went wrong and why! Did anyone read the article in the Observer (possibly elsewhere) about the selection process for our clubs academies in England? It tells a very poor story of just what I think is wrong with it...

Champions League final at Wembley in 2013

Uefa have just announced that the CL final will be at Wembley in 2 years time, it was awarded to the FA to commemorate the FA'S 150th Anniversary but made the point that they were so impressed with how well it was staged this year that it is justified. Can't help thinking this is a vote of...

    If not the NDP where?

When we started out on this Olympic Park adventure most of us thought it was just a bargaining ploy and we were all set for the NDP however it now seems that the club have second thoughts on that, It may be a bit premature but if, and it now seems certain, we don’t get the Olympic stadium and...

What is it with us and set pieces? Our record.

What is it with us and set pieces? Do we ever practice them? No doubt you thought this thread was about us defending set pieces but it’s not, teams sometimes fall victim to set pieces and all teams score from them, or so I thought. Let me ask a couple of quick questions, off the top of your...

After this World cup what then for England?

I have just been perusing SSN this morning and they had a little piece about the England team and the future England players and gave the statistic that in all the Premier League games at the weekend there were only 24 Englishmen playing out of 220 starters, I guess there were none for the...

    Has Premiership standard dropped

I have been watching SSN and their hook yesterday was how wonderful and exciting the Premier league is because of the number of goals that have been scored this season what with five nil’s and six two’s etc. Does this mean that the English Premier League is a higher standard now than ever...

Too many subs is the problem should they be reduced
