    Match Threads Burnley Vs Spurs

Absolutely agree with all said here. Royal's skillset is very low level, poor touch, no real pace, can't beat a man on the inside or the outside. Hesitates rather crossing the ball early (a bit like Walker at the end of his time with us). That ever Doherty would be considered in the position is...

    Player Watch: Bryan Gil

Considering how poor delivery has been from RWB I'd give Gil a go there. Has a good touch, can beat player on the outside and his crossing is good

Player Watch Player Watch - Lucas Moura

Doesn't address the major problem....Moura is not a creative passing player...he is a runner. Kane and Son need a passer to find them. A benefit you will we with Son actually up top is that he doesn't get wasted doing left-side donkey work. Missing out on Grealish still bugs me....he would be...

Player Watch Player Watch - Lucas Moura

Early days but it does seem on the evidence so far, that playing the 343 that accomodates Lucas Moura in the starting eleven, is limiting our effectiveness. Like any good new manager, Conte would undoubtedly taken a poll of the surviving Spurs staff on the make up of the squad. Moura is a 100%...

Match Threads Palace vs Spurs - Match Thread - Day 4 - KO 12:30pm

Awful performance. Three water carriers in midfield with no subtlety. Unfortunately shifting Dele further forward just reintroduced flicky Ali. Our defence was wafer thin. All the injuries and absences cant excuse this pea heart turn out

Which of our new signings are you most excited about watching?

Gilo for me. Can play wide either side, get to the line and cross well. Low centre of gravity, a good touch and willing to run at the opposition. Importantly, for any EPL player he is willing to work back. Can see him getting the nod ahead of Steve B.

    Ratings v Wolves

Voted for Sanchez but glad to say that Dele has seemingly taken the path I hoped he would after a difficult 15 months. The 'flicky Ali' persona he took on, almost cost him his EPL career. He needed to be honest, improve his fitness and become a harder working player. I feel he has done that now...

    Jose Mourinho

Not seen such a misfit as Doherty playing for us, since the days of David Jenkins, Ralph Coates (first year) and Nicola Berte who actually came to OZ and robbed a living here as well

    Matt Doherty @ Atletico Madrid

One positive aspect of MD's arrival has been the seeming wake up call for Aurier. In terms of how MD has gone most here are missing the point that he mainly played for Wolves as a wing back in a 352 or 343. Mourinho has not asked MD to play in a system resembling that so far apart from maybe the...

Match Ratings Ratings vs West Ham

Mourinho had a plan and for 70 minutes it worked well. Kane and Son tore them apart. NDombele was never going last the whole game and was rightly withdrawn. If Bale coming on with 20 to go, surprised anyone they need to boil their head. What hurt us was the way we became mentally sloppy. Apart...

    Team v West Ham

A lot will depend on who travels for Internationals....Lo Celso not going away lifts the possibility he will be back but Mourinho doesn't need to rush him back. Aurier will probably shade Doherty atm. Toby and Dier as cb's especially if Sanchez travels to South America. Reg over Davies for me...

    Son Kane Bale

With these three there are so many possibilities. Not only can Bale and Son go left or right but Harry can drop deeper very effectively to let the other two play closer. Of course Bale can also play left back if need be:sneaky:

    Spurs Amazon Documentary?

Late to the thread but just finished the last episode... Australia is a long way away! Levy comes across as a careful but decent kindaguy. Mourinho is like one of those specialist American oil rig fire fighters. When they turn up with all their ego you just have to suspend reality and look at...

Player Watch Player Watch: Ben Davies

Been a good servant at Spurs but like the bloke on our right, is no longer up to the grade. Limits our go forward, lacks a yard of pace and probably would not be someone you'd be looking to buy as a starter right now. Will remain at the club behind the scenes because he is well thought of.

    Jose Mourinho

Well how do we all feel about that? Us beating the Arsenal is never to be sniffed at. However, is beating them enough? Is it a start or a finish? In these uncommon times it is not a bad thing to reflect on where we are. Listening to many lifetime Spurs supporters I feel they are divided...
