Managers aren't as stupid as some fans who think a given player is as good as his last game. Everybody who knows a little bit about football knows Berbatov is good enough to walk in almost every team on the planet. The very fact I should mention it reveals something.
Oh, Lippi failed at Inter. I have had no explanation why he failed there. Now, I already know: he let Keane go. Thank you, Snake :beer:BTW, Ronaldo was injured when Keane was there. It won't harm if you don't lie or display ignorance.
Keane is a very good player but I doubt there is a better...
Is this the best argument you are capable of?
Should I remind you of Jol's words that no serious club enquired about Keane bar Everton (and they are not in th eCL anyway).
It's easy to be loyal when you are not good enough.
If you were a little bit smarter you would know Berbatov gives much more than simply goals and assists and it's stupid to measure his contribution in that way.
There is no point to play for fans who cannot appreciate you, isn't there? Obviously you are one of those many fans who...
OK, I'd be glad to see who and on what grounds is going to dispute that Berba deserves to play in the CL and for a team challenging for the league title.
Mate, my advice would be to not be optimistic about Berbatov staying for another season. I explain my reasons in the front page thread about Berba. Be mentally prepared that he probably will leave. If he stays, then great. If he leaves, then it will be easier to accept it.
Ramos says Berbatov...
Psychologically, those who work harder seem to love the club and thus its fans a bit more. So, it's normal the likes of Steed and Tainio, Keane recently, to be favourites of some parts of the crowd.
Last season Berbatov was player of the season, so one cannot generalise really that Spurs' fans...
I shall not debate it here as this theread is for Steed. He does a good job overall but I doubt he would start next season exactly because he doesn't offer enough attacking wise.
Absolutely right. But IF Spurs want him at the club, they have to take into account what role he wants to play, and not to make him a midfielder at 27.
"Please, stay with us, but please link up the play because our midfielders aren't good enough." Won't happen!
Spurs have to sort out the creativity problem as they cannot rely on a striker to do the job of the midfield in the next season. And sorting out that problem concerns Steed, too.
And Steed plays out of position because he is not good enough to play at his favourite position. Spurs aren't...
