    The England Thread

LOL. Bellingham is the best player in the world right now in his position and there's a good argument to make about Rice, albeit maybe he's more like top 5. Between the remaining options of: Gallagher, Maddison, Mainoo and TAA there's enough quality and versatility of playing positions for...

    Financial Fair Play (general thread)

All part of Levy’s master plan for negotiations this summer: “take my first offer or you’ll end up getting points deducted like Everton & Forest”. 😉

    Technical Tour

I've been on a version of this and it is very good. To be fair pretty much everything tour wise at the stadium is a cut above any other stadium tour in the UK.

How would you like our starting 11 to be

Maybe, maybe not, I don’t think we know that definitely yet. But if that is the case then he’ll need to adapt as it’s not a sustainable method in the PL.

How would you like our starting 11 to be

Weird thread. Starting 11 needs to be tactically based on the opposition, assuming everyone is fit, so there should be no such thing as a "Starting 11".

    General/Non-Spurs Transfers

Proper bellend, hope he goes to Arsenal and turns into the mediocre striker he’s been for 90% of his career.

    Match Threads Fulham vs Spurs

I've put them both below. Villa are now 2nd in first half table due to last weekend's results:

    Match Threads Fulham vs Spurs

True, but Villa are the best team in the PL in first halves - in fact if the league table only took into account results at half time then Villa would be top.

    Eberechi Eze

I’m not sure anyone is paying over £60m for Eze, let alone close to £70m. Of course Palace don’t have to sell, but it’s very likely that the player will push for a move this summer IMO and we have no idea what was included in the contract he signed in November but clearly if he was being linked...

    Eberechi Eze

Solid post and I agree with some of it. I'd say it all comes down to our ambitions for next season. IF we finish 4th and get CL this season then both Ange and the club will be aiming higher than that for next season. That means top 4 as minimum with a cup and/or title challenge. That means...

    Eberechi Eze

Deki is not a natural fit for AM, he's filled in to varying degrees this season and can continue to provide round peg square hole cover in the future, but we need a proper Maddison alternative. Bergval is 18 and has scored 4 goals in his 42 career appearances. In a year or two he may be a...

    Match Ratings Ratings vs Villa

Agree - as long as he's putting in a shift throughout the game and converting chances on a regular (1 in 2) basis then he's doing an excellent job as as striker.

    Conor Gallagher

Yeh I get your points, but for me that no.8 role (yeh I know Ange hates numbers) is where we have more options. With Sarr and Bentancur being the primary ones and Skipp able to cover there, as well as Bergvall. At No. 6 we only have Bissouma as a primary player, Bentancur and Skipp can cover...

Let's All Laugh At... Let's all laugh at Chelsea thread

    True, I've heard he's a bit of a tosser. ;)

    Conor Gallagher

I agree, with Sarr and Bentancur already in that role and Bergvall joining in the summer I can't see the need for Gallagher anymore. We'd be better off looking for a HG rotation player for Bissouma.

    Match Threads Spurs vs Palace

I’d prefer those two fluidly move between those two positions and keep Palace defenders on their toes

    Player Watch Player Watch: Richarlison

Scoring goals isn't the issue. But we’re not missing any top players in midfield or attack right now? News was 2-3 weeks, so that means he could be back on the bench for the Fulham game and if not will be back for Luton. With a whole week in between our games now I think we’ll see form closer...

    Player Watch Player Watch: Richarlison

Actually not bad news IMO. I think Son out on the left hasn't been working and would rather have seen him play in the ST role with Richarlison on the bench against Palace, except that would have been harsh on Richarlison who was found some form lately. So this allows us to change things up...

    Financial Fair Play (general thread)

Spain have some of the strictest rules in this regard, but their current salary cap means that Real Madrid can spend €727m on player salaries this year. Man City, for example, only just broke through €450m salary spend at the end of last year, so there would have plenty of room for more...

    Financial Fair Play (general thread)

Pre 60s the game wasn't global. Put in a higher wage cap and all that will happen is players will move abroad. Can't see the likes of Saudi and even MLS giving two fucks about a wage cap.
