    FA Cup 2023/24

Another great bit of inconstant refereeing. Romero v. Chelsea - excessive force in follow through determined by VAR - straight red. Chelsea mug in FA Cup Semi Final - same sort of incident - player already on a yellow - NOTHING???

    2023/24 Champions League

I have still not quite got over that Nani goal for United all those years ago when Gomez put the ball down for what he thought was a free kick. Referee (think it was Clattenburg so no surprise) seemed to signal free kick but allowed goal to stand. Not much spirit of football shown that night!

    Premier League 2023/2024

Seriously the officials cannot help Arsenal any more if they tried. Right at the end of the half the assistant gives offside against a Brighton forward in a good position. Flag up straight away, no comment from anyone, and then you look at it and wonder how the assistant does not see the Arsenal...

Not flares, it was the burning of petitions and t shirts as no longer needed

    Referees

As mentioned on here previously by myself and others there is a significant issue in that referees are largely from the north east of England, some in north-west and midlands, virtually none from the south (east or west). This is not a new situation, and it leaves me with a feeling that many...

    Classiest Premier League Club

I think we all know which two clubs think they are the classiest, with levels of arrogance and self-entitlement that even the mega-rich owners cannot match. Hence they feel justified putting out those statements about referees and VAR when things went against them in matches this season. Step...

    Premier League 2023/2024

Officials cannot get the basics right. Law 4 states: Each goalkeeper must wear colours that are distinguishable from the other players and the match officials How often do we end up watching games where the referee and one of the goalkeeper appears to be wearing virtually the same kit (take...

Match Threads Spurs vs Chelsea - Day 11

He over relied on VAR for everything, maybe to justify its use after the previous shambles he was involved in. He did nothing to stop the niggly fails Chelsea players were doing from the outset, clearly designed to break up our momentum. No warnings, no cards, nothing. Apart from that he had a...

Match Threads Spurs vs Chelsea - Day 11

Also remember Oliver was the fourth official in our match against Liverpool, the audio from whom mysteriously did not appear with all the rest after the fall out of the incorrect decision to disallow a valid goal. A cynic may think Oliver was on a levelling up mission last night, and is he not...

Match Threads Spurs vs Chelsea - Day 11

Oliver did not even spot the Sterling handball that 58,000 others managed to see without too much difficulty.

    Premier League 2023/2024

Yes I would have gone mental if given against us BUT the defender was already moving forward to try and head the ball before the hands went on his back, the push was minimal at best, and of course there was the inevitable dive forward by the defender to make things look worse than what they are...

What Our Opponents' Fans Are Saying About Us 23/24

Ok. I got part of my post incorrect, but I am entitled to a view that league managers publicly expressing a view about who they wanted to win the title, when they had at least one of the teams to play, is not professional or appropriate. It was not the Sky TV scheduling, it was the refereeing...

What Our Opponents' Fans Are Saying About Us 23/24

Sorry. I have to disagree. Tony Pulis went on record to say he wanted Leicester to win it that year when his Stoke team had both them and us to play. Not saying he told his team to throw a match, but clearly motivation for each game could have been very different. Leicester did bloody brilliant...

    Tottenham Hotspur Stadium vandalised

That would assume there is space in prison for someone. This current clueless government is currently doing everything it can to avoid sending people to prison either because they have not built any or it is one of their mates!

Match Threads Spurs vs Liverpool - Match Day 7 - 30th Sept KO 5:30pm

Oh yes - forgot that as well LOL. I must have pushed all this into a dark place at the back of my memory banks. Chris Hoy from what I now recall took it all quite well.

Match Threads Spurs vs Liverpool - Match Day 7 - 30th Sept KO 5:30pm

I had forgotten about that game, but the anger and annoyance has all come flooding back. It was really that bad. Maybe Klopp should watch this tonight, he can then make an appeal on our behalf to get that game replayed as well. Chris Foy was one of the worst of a bad bunch.

What Our Opponents' Fans Are Saying About Us 23/24

Been saying this for years about referees, basically there are no officials who come from the south of England (I think all north of the Midlands). How this situation has been allowed to persist for so long is beyond me, the county associations from up North clearly have to much power and...

Match Threads Spurs vs Liverpool - Match Day 7 - 30th Sept KO 5:30pm

Last season, Chelsea v. Spurs, Anthony Taylor copped a lot of stick for his performance (Inc. Romero deciding to give someone a haircut). Next Spurs match, NLD at Arsenal, Emerson got what most of us would agree was a harsh straight red when the Arsenal player rolled around crying to make it...

    Premier League 2023/2024

I see a different set of rules relating to time wasting and dissent being applied today Subs and others running on the pitch as well. There were a lot of rules applied differently for Arsenal and United players today. No surprise really, no one will do anything about it, and we get stitched up...

    Premier League 2023/2024

Normal moaning crap - what else would you expect. Something about needing a stop watch to time a throw in as it was only 8 seconds for the first yellow card. What Lego head has clearly forgotten is that two of his other players threw the ball to each other first before throwing it to the guy who...
